Thumbs up Proverbs Explained through Stories - By Mira Balachandran

    Hi all,

This is one of the apt books for kids under 14 years of age. The book gives a short one-page story explaining each of the proverbs. Very light read and no use of hard vocabulary.
Mothers can use it to read as bed time stories and at the same time convey the essence.
The book also has some pictorial representations to make it attractive for kids.

Want to gift some good books to kids known to you - this book fills that expectation too.
Above all, it costs less than Rs. 100/- and so pocket friendly too.

This is published by Emerald publishers.

    Cheers
    Jenz

    Jenz,

I am going to pick up this book as soon as Veda comes for a visit (I hate shopping alone..)

i am used to quoting stories for everything, may be this will be very handy for me.

the only negative, already my DS class teacher comments that your son is always telling us stories for every other comment, in the moral science class Big Laugh

    Hi Shanvy

Stories are one great way to remember things in life...no matter how long.

Hopefully other children in your DS class are also picking up from his talent and possibly the teacher herself should be doing this more often in story form

    Cheers
