Hi! I just finished 'Devil's Corner' by Lisa Scottoline... its sort of a thriller and her main characters in almost all her books are lawyers as the author is a former trial lawyer. I would say, this is not her best book.

Hi Ladies,
I am a newbie to this thread.. I've been a spectator until now and got to know about some good books thru this thread.. I read A Thousand Splendid Sun and indeed was great to read it.. Pls suggest me some wonderful books like that..

I like reading Sidney Sheldon's , Daniel Steel's.. My recent of hers were Second Chance, Bungalow 2, Amazing Grace...

I am now reading Good Woman.. Until now I find it good..

Finished 'Winner stands alone' by Paulo Coelho. Very readable though it had me out of sorts initially. Surprisingly I took over a week to read the book while I have finished Coelho's other books in a day or two!

Most of Coelho's books, give you a lot of insight and make you introspect but this book is an exception (I might be wrong since I haven't read all of his books).

Have been reading books in different category - cooking, glass painting, how to make your home green!!! My fiction reading has taken a break:)

I guess, I am still not evolved up to have heavy reads. I am impossible when I am reading philoosophy and psycology or sociology ... etc. I jst haven't managed to read 'Tuesdays with Morrie' and am unto Danielle Steel's Kaleidoscope - i had read it a long ago, but still it brought tears into my eyes.!!!!

I have missed this thread for sooo long. nandu thanks to you...
I just read lost symbol, wonderful book with information . but not exceptional, no way in the same level as his previous books. Of course intense research by him. but plot line was weak..

Hi! I agree with you Aparna. I just finished the lost Symbol a few days ago and found it a bit dragging especially with all those information. Felt like reading an encyclopaedia. Definitely does not match up to his earlier books.

Iam reading "The difficulty of being good" by Gurcharan das. This is a non fiction and kind of an indepth analysis about certain traits and characters from the epic Mahabharata.

Very interesting read..................
