Chindhuja, me got new books last week in landmark. I am going to start read of "Kadal pura" by sandaliyan. Any idea abt the book ?

For these kind of tamil novels you better opt for good publications in and around T.nagar rather than falling into hi-fi stores..some famous publications are "vaanathi pathipagam".."kannadasan pathipagam"...

1. You have a wide range of options in these stores..similar author, similar back-ground... and various editions are available for the same....they are cost effective too

2. this encourages the small small merchants whom are very much dependant on the income gained out of it.

yah sure chindhuja thanks for the idea. Normally we go for small shop only this time we went to buy some other books, in that time we bought that. Sure i'll follow u'r point.

I have read kadal pura but not yavana rani.. I spoke to my mom and was discussing about this thread...She said that yavana rani will be bit boring , so she has suggested to try "Raaja muthirai" of sandilyan..An interesteing novel it-seems..Probably 1000 pages..And my mom completed it in 1 full-day out of interest

Besides..Very much interested to join meet up..but sure itz going to work out for me during weekends..mine is a joint family ..90% are working people..so those are the days we plan for an outing .. Anyways will try my best
