Default broad nose

hi,
the worst feature of my face is my nose which is broad and flat. i've received enough criticism from my husband and people in general during these 28 yrs of my life. another thing which troubles me is my dry, coarse, curly hair and broad forehead. these 2 factors defenitly hampers my self esteem. im a bit reluctant to go for permanent hair starightening using chemicals as i understand they have many side effects.
i was considering plastic surgery for my nose. but i've no clue as to how much that wud cost in the US . could anyone suggest me anything to fix my nose and my hair.
thanks

Dear frustrated,
hi,
please change ur name dont be so frustrated. i dont know cost and all about plastic surgery but for broad nose u dont feel so frustrated. I dont think we should depress ourself just for our looks, ignore. other than broad nose u may have many good qualities for which someone has selected u as his life partner, forget it. I would like to suggest u there are many make-up tips for face which hides ur broad-nose. Why dont u try that in parlour first that will be in ur hand. Sri Devi too had a broad nose but she did plastic surgery. Hairs are genetically curly u can use hair-iron to straighten it that can be done at home. Broad forehead even i have, i have front cut.
So enjoy life and forget frustration please smile.

bye
padma

Dear frustrated,

My suggestion to you before going for plastic surgery is....take an appt with a good hair specialist and ask them to give you a nice haircut to cover to forehead and also suggest some remedies for your dry and coarse hair.
Please don't worry so much about your looks and don't be over-conscious. Everyone will have some flaw or the other......carry what you have with pride and happiness. And don't worry about any comments by your hubby....next time he says something...you can say......"why, was my nose not visible when you saw me first time:)" and give a smile...he will be fine. I think the more you give importance to any criticism, the more people will keep doing it.

Enjoy your life.....
Sihi

Hey there

First of all do not feel bad about any feature that you have, god has made you and, whats important is what is in the inside of you than your outside beauty.
A person's nature and behavior shud be such that everybody gets atracted to you just for who you are. but still i can give a few suggestions.

First thing for your nose, this is just a make up trick. When you are goin out for a party or any gathering, after applying base foundation, just take dark brown eye shadow and with a shadow brush, very very lightly apply it on the sides of your nose (if you have any doubts just ask me) this is one trick that make your nose look thin and sharp too, and then you can go ahead with the rest of your make up. I got to know this, on my cousins wedding (she too has a big broad nose), I hired her a make up artist, who actually is more into fashion makeup and does make up for ramp shows and video ads. she did this trick and she is a good freind of mine so she told me about it. but one has to be very careful.

second thing, get your hair trimmed every month. every time you wash your hair, apply OIL for atleast 1 hour before washing. and use a nice conditioner for your hair type, i mean for curl hair. and whenever going out for an important event or any special occassion, use a straightening IRON for you hair, and if u cant use it go to the Salon...

Plastic surgery or any sort of chemical treatment to you hair is not good at all.
Take good care of your skin and hair.

Hi frustrated,

I agree with all the other ladies responses. We are all beautiful in our own little way. I too, used to have a very broad nose. When I was younger, I would "pinch" my nose while breathing through my mouth and hold it for 25 - 30 seconds. Right after, I would do little pinch squeezes. I would do this at least 20 times per day. Eventually, my nose started to appear slimmer.

You do it by holding your nose as if there was a bad smell. Using your right hand, you would use your pointer finger on your left nostril and your thumb on your right nostril and then squeeze nose together. Hold for 20 secs then do 20 little squeezes/pinches. Eventually over time, you should notice a difference.

I hope this helps you.

hi,
i also agreed with IL suggestions.
Inner beauty is IMP than outer beauty..If you feel good then automatically you seems beautiful.. don't disappoint.
i hope you will follow these...
good luck

Hi there,

All women are beautiful. Being a woman itself is a beauty!
whether, u're dark, short, have flat/broad nose, big forehead, curly hair etc.
U need to be smart enough to present yourself well!
First I tell one secret, To be a confident person one has to appear confident!
If one appears confident..then 50% he/she is a confident Man.
Similarly, u should think, make & appear good!
Look at ur positive side & the plus point of yours.
U should raise ur self-esteem.

come on, BE YOUR SELF, BE NATURAL & DON'T CHANGE FOR OTHERS SAKE!

First- as padma said...kindly change ur name.
Be a cheerful, bubbly, lovely & lively person!

cheers!
Anu Shiv

Hello!!!

Just happened to read your query and thought i must share with you this bit of information based on experience.

Ok 1stly use dark powder of a blushon on the sides of your nose, and highlight the middle of your nose with a highlighter with a shimmer. This apparently will make your nose look sharper. Well this may not be a permanent solution but then nothing is. Plastic surgery is anyways not a 100% foolproof remedy cause you may not look as good with the end result and they need to be repeated at intervals of a few years not to mention the exorbitant cost. But this trick with two shades has a good effect.
Why dont you trying adorning your nose with some fancy rings(there are a million lovely designs to choose from) , This will also remove the focus from the shape of your nose.
Secondly your hair .Look I know a million ladies on the look out for thick curly hair. They spend a fortune trying to get good hair . Why dont you cut you hair and shape them into soft tendrils to frame your face. This has a dramatic effect. Not only is this the current craze, it removes years from your looks, has a sensuous as well as an innocent feel. You could try a wet look for better effect.

Lastly, Look Good because you want to look good not because someone is ridiculing you. People who want to find fault can find it even in the most perfect looking person.
So get going and enjoy the best gifts bestowed on you.

Take care,

God bless,

Devika
