They are evolving and preparing for the arrival of the baby.Your hormones are the cause of these changes and you may experience some effects more than others,and may even have the continual effects.Women can expect the areola to return to its pre-pregnancy colour after they quit breastfeeding, but some do not. However, the color may lighten but it isn't likely to become as light as it was before becoming pregnant.
Nothing to worry.Please keep in mind that all these are NATURAL and COMMON.
