Where's the party tonight, so goes a popular song from the movie KANK. But in reality, hosting a party becomes a real nightmare for some . So doing a first "boni " to IL blogs, i thought i would start a blog on party planning , tips etc etc....

So ladies and gents ( am sure you do plan surprise parties for your wives, and if not , please do read these blogs so you can host one) , what about party planning baffles you? Choosing a Venue or theme, something different for kids and adults. what about the menu. And ofcourse the perenial problem of what to stuff in the Goody Bags.
So friends lets get to gether and create here a ready handbook for planning and partying that will create wonderful memories for us to last our lifetime. Please do comment on what you would like to see in this category, or if one of you has a nice idea for a party , then post your comments. And let see where this take us......

Yes sometimes party planning is tricky. For me its the menu . Once the menu is narrowed down other things fall into place. do you agree??

    Hi Vandhana,
Nice idea. I too think first 'pate pooja' and then 'Goody Bags" (vetrali pakku), Those will give the plesent memory of the particular party. In Tamil we used to say ' you can fill anybody's stomach but not heart'. So .....

    Dear Vandhana,

Good idea! I would love to read entries. You are the best person to start this. I am reminded here of all your help in my Rugby party on saturday evening. Your recipes for falafel and hummous worked well and I did not have any leftovers. Keep going ,ladies!

    Hi Chithra,

Yes Menu planning is difficult , more so when Adults are involved. I find todays kids, planning for them is the easiest. You give them pizza at 3.00 am they will eat it happily!

Thats what my next write up is going to be.. Any guesses what PIZZA stands for ??
