"Yes, I am fine, Smitha.Thank you for asking", said her mom in a feeble voice.

"Do you ever look at your hands"?asked Sarada.

Smitha stared at her hands, turning the palms up and down.It...

Life Is Beautiful is Roberto Benigni's delightfully funny and hauntingly beautiful WW11 romantic comedy, tragedy about love, and sacrifice.

The movie unfolds in two parts. In the first, Guido ( Benigni) is an Italian waiter who is courting a pretty schoolteacher Dora,...

A Tale of Two Birds

Posted 10th October 2008 at 12:10 AM by sundarusha
Updated 23rd October 2008 at 12:49 AM by sundarusha (typo)

The Whole of Vedanta Philosophy is summed up in this story.

Two birds of Golden Plumage sat on the same tree. The one above, serene, majestic, immersed in his own glory; the one below restless and eating the fruits of the tree. Some of the fruits were bitter and some were sweet thus making the bird sad and happy at times. Once he ate an exceptiionally bitter fruit. He paused and glanced up at the majestic bird above. The bird above neither ate sweet nor bitter fruits, was neither happy...
