அவ்வ துறைவ தறிவு
evva thuRaivadhu ulagam ulagathodu
avva thuRaiva thaRivu
உலகம் எவ்வாறு நடைபெறுகின்றதோ அவ்வாறே அதனுடன் ஒத்து
ஒழுகுவது அறிவுடைமை ஆகும்
It is wisdom to live in the world
in the way that the world lives.
427.அறிவுடையார் ஆவ தறிவார் அறிவிலார்
அஃதறி கல்லா தவர்
aRivudaiyaar aava thaRivaar aRivilaar
agthaRi kallaa thavar
அறிவுடையார் பின் நிகழ்வனவ்றை முன்னதாகவே உணர வல்லவர்.
அறிவிலார்க்கு அத்தகைய ஆற்றல் எத்துணையும் இல்லை.
Those who know, know what will happen next.
Such things are unknown to the unknowing.
428.அஞ்சுவ தஞ்சாமை பேதைமை அஞ்சுவது
அஞ்சல் அறிவார் தொழில்.
anjuva thanjamai pethaimai anjuvathu
anjal aRivaar thozhil
அஞ்ச வேண்டியனவவற்றிற்கு அஞ்சாது பாராமுகமாயிருத்தல்
மடமையாதலின் அறிவுடையோர் அஞ்ச வேண்டியனவவற்றிற்கு அஞ்சி
அதைத் தடுக்க முயல்வர்.
It is folly not to fear what ought to be feared.
So the wise dread what should be feared.
429.எதிரதாக் காக்கும் அறிவினார்க் கில்லை
அதிர வருவதோர் நோய்.
Ethirathaak kaakum aRivinaark killai
athira varuvathor Noy.
பின் விளைவுகளை உய்த்துணர்ந்து அவற்றிற்க்குத் தக ஏற்பாடுகள்
செய்வோர்க்கு அதிர்ச்சி தரக் கூடிய துன்பம் ஏதும் வாராது.
Fearsome sufferings shall never happen
to knowing ones who guard against future happenings.
430.அறிவுடையார் எல்லா முடையார் அறிவிலார்
என்னுடைய ரேனும் இலர்.
aRivudaiyaar ellaa mudaiyaar aRivilaar
ennudaiya renum ilar.
அறிவுடையவர்கள் எல்லாம் பெற்ற சிறப்புடையவராவர்.
அறிவில்லாதவர் எல்லாம் பெற்றிருப்பினும் எதுவுமே இல்லாதவர்
போல்வர்.
Those who possess wisdom possess everything.
Whatever others possess, without wisdom they have nothing.
