346. யான்என(து) என்னும் செருக்கறுப்பான் வானோர்க்கு
உயர்ந்த உலகம் புகும்.
Yaanyenadhu yennum serukkaruppaan vaanorkku
uyarndha ulagam pugum.
The person who crushes the vanity and pride, "I" and "mine"..are those who enter a higher world than the world of Gods.
347.பற்றி விடாஅ இடும்பைகள் பற்றினைப்
பற்றி விடாஅ தவர்க்கு.
Pattri vidaa a idumaikal pattrinai
pattri vidaa a dhavarkku.
Sorrows will never give up its hold on a person who holds on to desires.
348.தலைப்பட்டார் தீரத் துறந்தார்; மயங்கி வலைப்பட்டார் மற்றை யவர்.
Thalaippattar theera thurandhaar mayangi
valaippattaar mattrai yavar.
Those who renounce are on the path of salvation, but others are caught up in the snare of re-births.
349.பற்றற்ற கண்ணே பிறப்பறுக்கும்; மற்று
நிலையாமை காணப் படும்.
Patratra kannae pirapparukkum muttru
nilaiyaamai kaana padum.
The moment that attachments are broken, that very moment, re-births cease; but when that has not been done, instability exists.
350.பற்றுக பற்றற்றான் பற்றினை; அப்பற்றைப்
பற்றுக பற்று விடற்கு.
Pattruga patratraan pattrinai; appatrai
pattruga pattru vidarkku.
Attach yourself to Him who has conquered all attachments, bind yourself firmly to Him so that your bonds may be broken.
