Anbilar ellam thamakkuriyar anbudaiyar
enbum uriyar pirarkku
The unloving belong only to themselves,
but the loving belong to others to their very bones.
73.அன்போடு இயைந்த வழக்கென்ப ஆருயிர்க்கு
என்போடு இயைந்த தொடர்பு
Anpodu iyaindha vazhakkenba Aruyirkku
enpodu iyaindha thodarbu
They say it is to know union with love
that the soul takes union with the body.
74. அன்பு என்னும் ஆர்வம் உடைமை அதுஈனும்
நண்பு என்னும் நாடாச் சிறப்பு
anbu ennum arvam udaimai athueenum
naNbu ennum nadach chiRappu
Love makes one affectionate toward all,
and affection affords the priceless treasure of friendship.
75.அன்புற்று அமர்ந்த வழக்கென்ப வையகத்து
இன்புற்றார் எய்தும் சிறப்பு
anbuRu amarndha vazhakkenba vaiyagathu
inpuRar eithum chiRappu
They say Love's greatness is this: it yields to good families
worldly happiness here and heavenly bliss hereafter.
