1111. நன்னீரை வாழி அனிச்சமே! நின்னினும்
மென்னீறள் யாம்வீழ் பவள்.
Nanreerai vaazhi anichchame!
ninninum menneeral yaamveezh baval.
நல்ல மென்மைத்தன்மை உடைய அனிச்ச பூவே...நீ வாழ்க! உன்னைவிட மென்மையானவள் நான் விரும்பும் பெண்ணே ஆவாள்.
O soft anicha flower, tenderer than you is the one on whom my heart is set!
1112. மலர்காணின் மையாத்தி நெஞ்சே! இவள்கண்
பலர்காணும் பூவொக்கும் என்று.
Malarkaanin maiyoththi nenje! ivalkan
palarkaanum poovokkum yenru.
மற்ற மலர்களைப் பார்த்து, ஏன் இவள் கண்களுடன் ஒப்பிட்டு தடுமாறுகிறாய், நெஞ்சே..
Oh heart, why do you get distracted whenever you see a flower and match them with her eyes.
1113. முறிமேனி முத்தம் முறுவல் வெறிநாற்றம்
வேலுண்கண் வேய்த்தோ ளவட்கு.
Murimeni muththam muruval verinaattram
velunkan vaeiththo lavatku.
தளிர் மேனி, முத்துப் பல் வரிசை, மூங்கிலை போன்ற தோள், மை இட்ட வேல் விழி, மயக்கம் ஊட்டும் இயற்க்கை மணம் (உடையவள் இவள்).
Her body is like the tender leaf, her smile is like a pearl, her arm like a bamboo, painted eyes piercing like a lance, has natural sweet odor.
1114. காணின் குவளை கவிழ்ந்து நிலன்நோக்கும்
மாணிழை கண்ணொவ்வேம் என்று.
Kaanin kuvalai kavizhndhu nilannokkum
maanizhai kannovvaem yenru.
குவளை மலர்கள் இவளின் கண்களைப் பார்த்து, தாம் அதற்க்கு ஈடில்லை என நிலத்தை நோக்கும்.
Unable to match this lady's face, the lilies would droop downwards in shame.
1115. அனிச்சப்பூக் கால்களையாள் பெய்தாள்; நுசுப்பிற்கு
நல்ல படாஅ பறை.
Anichchappoo kaalkalaiyaal peidhaal; nusuppirkku
nalla pada a parai.
அனிச்ச மலரை காம்பு எடுக்காமல் தலையில் சூடிக் கொண்டதினால், ( மலரின் காம்பின்) பாரத்தினால், இவளின் இடை ஒடிந்தது.
Her waist will presently break, as she had adorned herself with Anicha flower without removing the stalk..(due to the weight of that stalk !)
1116. மதியும் மடந்தை முகனும் அறியா
பதியின் கலங்கிய மீன்.
Madhiyum madandhai muganum ariyaa
padhiyin kalangiya meen.
நிலவிற்கும் இந்த மங்கையின் முகத்திற்கும் வேறுபாடு தெரியாமல், நட்சத்திரங்கள். தன் நிலையில் நிற்காமல் கலங்கி திரிகின்றன.
The perplexed stars are all over the place, unable to differentiate the moon and my beloved's face.
1117. அறுவாய் நிறைந்த அவிர்மதிக்குப் போல
மறுவுண்டோ மாதர் முகத்து?
Aruvaai niraindha avirmadhikku pola
maruvundo maadhar mugaththu?
நிலவில் உள்ள சிறு களங்கம் கூட இந்த மங்கையின் முகத்தில் உள்ளதா? (இல்லையே).
Are there any spots on my beloved's face, as the spots on the shining moon?
1118. மாதர் முகம்போல் ஒளிவிட வல்லையேல்
காதலை வாழி மதி.
Maadhar mugampol olivida vallaiyael
kaadhalai vaazhi madhi.
திங்களே, இந்த பெண்ணின் முகத்தைப் போல் ஒளிவிட உன்னால் முடியுமானால், நீயும் என் பிரியத்துக்கு உரியவளே!

சந்திரனே, மலர் போன்ற முகத்தை உடைய இவளுடைய முகத்திற்கு ஒப்பாக நீ இருக்க விரும்பினால், பலர் காணும்படியாகத் ஒளிராதே.
If you want to imitate the face of my flower-eyed beloved, stop revealing your face to all, O Moon. (shine elsewhere or shine alone)

அடிக்கு நெருஞ்சிப் பழம்.
Anichchamum annaththin thooviyum maadhar
adikku nerunji pazham.
அனிச்ச மலரும், அன்னத்தின் இறகும் மாதரின் (இப்பெண்ணின்) காலடிக்கு நெருஞ்சி முள் போன்றவை. (துன்பம் தருபவை).
Even the petals and down feathers are prickly to my damsel's feet.
(Anicha flower---is known for its softness, and the nerunji fruit for its thorns.)
