This is my blog on IL , you can expect just about anything here. It can be a poem, story, a quote , a song, a movie, a friend's real-life crisis, my office, my dreams, my ambitions..Anything which touches my heart.
Life so far has been rich whirlwind journey. It has taken me to literally whole world in term of reading , travelling and reaching out. I sometimes feel twenty four hours are less in a day. So much to do, so much to see, so much to imbibe. Have you ever looked at nature and thought.. For whom, god has created this wonderful maze of surprises.. For those who dont believe in God. I would say, for whom, this big-bang theory has created such mind blowing landscapes.
So sit tight. I am going to take you along on my journey of life. Its anything but boring. Lot of spice , lot of gossip, some wisdom, some mischiefs and then some good karma..

Patronising .. Is it healthy for a dicussion forum?
Lately there was post in one forum , which talked about favoritism in IL. Discussion went on good with some tangent comments. Finally the end result was, we couldn't summarise it and arrive at a consensus. Probably, no one was willing to face the truth. So it was closed and we chose to stick the way we browse.
I was liking the discussion there, and before I could chip in , it was closed. I was amazed that some prominent members could not understand the very need for the thread. Thats clear indication that I sit here and you sit there. From where I see, everything is fair and justified.
For my mind, I dont feel there is favoritism. I feel there is patronising for some school of thoughts. If you are litrary expert , you have more chances to be popular. I really dont believe in this preference in any manner. Anyone can come up with a post which can touch your strings, even with plain words and less story telling skills.
There are also some staple admirers for some staple writers. I have also noticed it. Not that I complain, but I find it amusing at time. That very average piece will get some really unrelated praises. I believe in making genuine friends and not letting my equation with person affect my feedback for their post.
With a year 's browsing at IL, as others I have also devised my own browsing strategy. I avoid any forum which is against my beliefs , astrology being one and some other forums which seem overflowing with sycophant comments.
How about your browsing experience? Do you follow some pattern here in IL? If yes, please share it.

 |  Hi Ria, Regarding my stay in IL, I feel I am just having fun..lots of fun. I hardly enter into any serious discussion. If you have noticed, I was mostly into the game section. And saying Hi here and there. Now after a long vacation, I have been going through so many of the threads that I missed in the last 3 months and so the games seem to have taken a back seat.. who knows when I will plunge into it again  I rush through many of the posts,.....specially the long ones......and avoid those that doesn't interest me....and I also avoid ruffling some feathers with my posts.... I don't beleive in anything like a 'average piece'...it all depends on our taste for the subject.......You are right...everyone's post can touch somebody's string with plain simple words... IL has given me a lot of friends and wish it continues to be like that for me... Bye..... |

| |  ria, I do what I is feel is comfortable and right. I am involved more in the kids, schools, parenting, real estate and money matters. the rest is after these. i talk about what i feel, i am not worried if i get a feedback. I definitely know i have helped somebody name it intuition or whatever... I comment on other threads as and when i feel. I also sometimes feel, not replying to certain threads effects your relationship with that person. personally have felt it, but that does not bother me. now i have taken a stand, my relationship should not be affect by a mere feedback right, if it affects it is not strong enough.... People who understand and vibe well always will remain your friends beyond IL. And I have made few out of IL. So the rest does not really matter much. This is just my view and it need not be agreed upon by others. and i know you are the type of person who talks what is right. |

| |  Hi Ria..I browse most of the sections..I reply to thread that interests me..and I have something to say about the topic.Some thread I read and do not reply- hobbies,gardening,spirituality etc..I have stopped giving advice for marriage problems.. I read selected stories..and I do not feel like commenting if I do not like the topic..I take active part in parenting,movies and cooking. |
