Twinkle twinkle little stars
I attended a Planetarium show recently and completely loved it.The ever-expanding universe, our huge reliance on the Sun, the discovery of planets, more stars like the Sun, galaxies - the search for vaguness continues...
The show made me realise how long its actually been since I gazed at the night sky. Now I am trying to and even make patterns and wondering if I have seen 1 star more often than the other?!
The whole sight makes me glad, I believe its the power of nature that captures the heart...
I was told we feel attached to stars due to the cosmic energy we share. Ages back the concept of astrology came up and even today in some traditions we are identified with a star as soon as we are born! According to zodiac signs we are connected to planets that rule our life.
We may or maynot believe in horoscopes, but whats magical is we are trying to make a connection with celestial bodies. Somehow the whole attempt is appealing! You ought to watch the clear night sky, the feeling is beyond words.
Do you gaze at stars once in a while? Do you make wishes to them? Have you ever seen a shooting star? Do share.
P.S: - I am hoping the attachment shows up

| | Dear Ranganayaki, A nice article with attachment. I can see the picture very well. I have seen shooting stars. When ever I read in newspaper that a star is approaching close to earth and we can see it, I used to go to the terrace to see the star. Some times I was lucky to see the particular star. Love, PS |

| | Dear Ranganayaki, Nice blog. Actually we also visted the planetorium here and was just enthralled to see our galaxy and stars. i do gaze at the stars. i am reminded of the Airtel ad where the girl asks father who is in a different place on work to help her make a drawing. The father asks the child to see the sky from the balcony and tells her each star will be a dot and to join the same to get a figure. Nice ad. I just love gazing the stars and the sky. |

| | Hi Ranganayaki ji, Stars are things that make u dream. star gazing on a clear night when sounds of city ve died is awonderful experience. We don even heve to know the name of clusters n r their position. Jus staring at those tiny twinkling things amke us realise how small we are, n yet how much hoopla we create around us. They r mystifying if u r watching them the first time r even a thousandth time. Regards, CC |

| | dear ranganayaki, this is a wonderful article describing the trip to planetarium which sometime in our life we do, and the experience is exhilarating and of course an interest into this subject gets enhanced and one waits for the shooting stars, here in bangalore it is most during the month of nov and the winter just setting in, never seen them as they come as late as 2 or 3 in the morning, will do so hope to catch up on early sleep to watch this..sunkan |
