About 2 weeks back when I celebrated my birthday, I wrote myself a "done list", yes not that I have no objectives for the New Year, but just to make myself feel better. Then my friend, MeenLoch, told me "this is a nice idea to pat your self on the back!"
So here I am to write about the DONE list!
C'mon ILites, life is tough and we all know that as women we are constantly aiming at perfection. So we always have "To-do lists" around us. Some of them just have it in their minds and some of them have it written. Its not one, its quite frequently revised. In a way, its about keeping oneself busy, never running out of ideas when bored and so on. But how often do you praise yourself?
We need appreciation too, so in my case following were my done list - great time with friends, got married, became a better cook, got a shiny new driver's license, got into fitness classes, learnt couple of new dances, visited lovely places and so on.
Now don't we all need to tell ourselves about the positives/achievements just to make us feel good. And what better way to do it than write it or think about it in a bunch! This gives me a high and really motivates to get much better in the new year!
I know we have downs in the year too, but I hope this positive outlook adds to our attitude and willingness to be happy!
So smile all of you while you reminisce the good of previous times to get better in the present and and achieve higher in the future!!
Good luck and God Bless!
And MeenLoch..
P.S: For all you know, among these smart women, some already have the DONE lists!

| | Welcome Ranganayaki !!! "To do" list is common. "Done" list is a great idea. I am planning to have one. It does make one feel good about himself/herself. Little things count a lot and add up to so much in the end. Waiting for some wonderful posts from you. For other readers, Ranganayaki has a blog of her own and her posts are fun to read. |

| | Hi Ranganayaki, It is a great idea to have a done list. I usually have a list of things to do and keep scratching out the ones that are done. May be we should reward ourselves with small treats, may be a manicure or movie or may be ice cream or may be even some leisure time ? |

| | Dearest Ranganayaki ma'am, A "Done list" sounds very practical and more on a brighter note, it helps to raise our energy levels to perform our best in the forth-coming endeavors !! I do sit up and write what ought to be done and how it can be done. Once I do something good, I listen to a fresh tune or a music that sooths my soul :):) Yes, my treat has always been music. Or, shall i reveal a secret here:):) I go up the stairs, confirm myself that no one is there (of course, I cannot assure that an open terrace will have no peep outs.. but still), I jump to my heart's content and come down as if nothing had happened upstairs ha ha ha ha ha ha... Or I dance in my room !!! Many a time with my mom who makes an excellent partner !! :):) Am happy that you started liking our companies here. Happy journey again :) Regards with Love RamyaVaradharajan |
