I got home from a "Boot camp" class last week. I am not sure how many of you ILites have ever been to one, but the experience is refreshing!
Firstly we were outdoors in a nice open space near the pool with curious ducks that watched us more than any others!
The warm ups were to run from one end to another, touch a tree and return! Then we were made into groups of 3. A set does abs, while the others do biceps, yet another group does lunges. All this for a minute and then we rotate! In the end we were asked to go in pairs, do the jumping jack and get back to place at the other end. After stretches, we are all set to head back home.(phew!)
The beginning was hard but then you want to keep up with it and while in groups its always more encouraging. It was fun, I felt like a child running in the open ground and was reminded me of Physical training classes at school. I always liked teams, groups and this one specially where it doesn’t matter who you are. You meet a random group, one minute you find nothing at all in common, but then the next minute you are giving a high-five to your new team-mates.
The feeling is simply great, I not just worked-out but I am mentally feeling more fresh.
to such a concept that gets us closer to nature and people.
P.S: I just read online that Boot camp classes are also called Recruit training and popular in military training.

| | yup, boot camps are the order in military training...havent been to one myself, but i guess it shud be grt to be so close with nature...esp ducks watching u wud have been grt... of course, when one functions as part of a group, it is easier to do things like work outs...we dont give up easily.... for the past few days, i am getting a boot camp at home, as my dh, who is concerned that i have put on considerable weight, is making me do sit ups, stretches and long walks under his watchful eyes...:( |

| | Dearest Ranganayaki ma'am, A blog that kindles our nerves to run a stretch and gasp for breath :):) I now open up the fresh memories of my school Throw ball match days. Yes, I had just that to add to my interests and passion during schooling. I was good at it and even got selected for the district match when my mom felt I had to concentrate more on academics :( Though I was one of the bright students at school topping the ranks :) she was scared to send me alone for a week's match he he he he he ya it happens :) my darling mom !! Hence i restricted my play to the school campus, but thoroughly enjoyed to my heart's content :) Yes, Recruit training I have heard since one of close friends is a Senior Under Officer in NCC in college :) I used to learn a lot from him regarding the training camps that they organize and am sure it was full of thrill and enjoyment !!!
