"The art of Learning"

“We can usually learn much more from people whose views we share than from people whose views contradict our own; disagreement can cause stress and inhibit learning.” At the outset, the motive behind one’s realistic views needs to be self-questioned to find its true meaning and implications. Basically there are people who work for solutions irrespective of their gains. These are the “first order” people I can assert. There are people who always work for their gains and which incidentally creates spillover gains to others too. These are the “second order” populace. Then there are the “third order” people who generally cannot sustain with order and system but pull on and push on according to the vicissitudes of life patterns. The first two types are the “real masters” whereas the third is the “mastered block”.

The first block comprises only a limited few with positive work-mind and mindset, who leave an indelible mark by their actions. By chance I as an individual also possess the same wavelength and hence sharing of thoughts becomes much simpler thereby extending the learning process in turn leading to better prosperity. A case in this regard is Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam who represents a unique generation in our indigenous system. According to Dr.Kalam’s planning and commitment, India will achieve global supremacy by 2020. In a speech in Hyderabad, Dr.Kalam echoed John.F.Kennedy’s words with slight modifications “Ask what we can do for India and do what has to be done to make India what America and other developed countries are today.” A highly thought provoking person who calls for a great deal of introspection without expecting any gains, but only to reap betterment.

The second block can hold entrepreneurs such as Kiran Mazumdar, CEO of BIOCON; Steve Jobs, Apple computers Chairman and similar people in regard. They have established themselves in such a position through their sincere work efforts that they have contributed to the economy’s infrastructure alongside. In a Stanford Report, Jobs said, “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it by living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinion drown out your own inner voice.” The lines stimulate our conscience.

According to me, one cannot prosper with the third block which is maneuvered by the politicians very well for their good alone. Ultimately we can cite illustrations of atheist-theist controversy, labor-capital issue, capitalism versus socialism issue etcetera. Karl Marx, the founder of Communism, said, “Religion is the opium of masses. It is the sigh of the oppressed creature.” But I will strongly adhere to Swami Vivekananda, “Religion is the manifestation of the natural strength that is in man.” Religion is the course of action given by God. Since God is factual, his law is also a fact and not an illusion as stated by Karl Marx. Karl Marx was a great intellect but he could not think about evolution but rather stressed on revolution. Human well being concept of Lenin, follower of Karl Marx, was ‘anyone who disagreed or diverged with his version was to be killed or imprisoned’. Disagreement thus caused stress and inhibits learning. Is it then the real well being?

Virtue is that which tends to our improvement, and voice to our degeneration. Understanding the self virtue will lead to understanding the coherent views put forth by others. We should make a permanent organization that is to share power with others and at least start our plans for what will come after we are gone Thus as a concluding point I strongly feel that people who are calm and composed and share their views for everybody’s good, make people learn reality.

Hi Ramya,
Nice analysis... But if I a right, Karl Marx is on Communism and not on socialism.... I may be wrong.... Now, Now, you have made me to go back and chek on my economics....

I agree with your concluding para / line.... When you are calm and composed, you are able to get a serenity and you can analyse things and come to more rational and logical conclusions...

Good Work....

A very bright noon Vysan sir,

Thank you very much for having corrected my mistake. Yes you were absolutely right! Karl Marx is known for his "communist manifesto" as a communist theorist!

Yes sir, a rationale behavior and thinking is always necessary in all kind of actions to be performed!
