Though I dont maintain a regular dairy, I have always made it a point to pen down my thoughts and there are lots of collection in it. Hereafter I think I could make this my personal diary to talk loud my personal thoughts.
Some might say that diaries are personal, but my personal diary is not so and I wish all those who go through it share their thoughts about mine.
Thanks in advance for visiting my personal diary.(Virtual).

Ista Deivamum, Kula Deivamum

Off late, it is time for us to keep going to Kula Deivam temples of both sides. My parent's side and also inlaws side. For a very long time, say for around, 4 generations, my father and his forefathers have been ignorant of their kuladeivam, and as the general saying goes, "Tirunelveli kaaralukku kuladeivam theriyalaina, Tirupathi Venkatachalapathy thaan Kuladeivam" i.e. if Tirunelveli people dont know their Kuladeivam, they keep Tirupati Perumal as theirs and moreover as my great grandmother have become adherant devotee of Baghawan Ramana Maharishi, Venkatachalapathy and VenkataRamanan (Ramanar) have become one and the same and people have started going there. For a very long time, my parent's have been doing pooja to Srichakram and for 4 generations, we have been blessed with SriVidhya Mantra Upasana. Infact me and my brother are also blessed to get that mantra Upadesam.
But as Paramacharyal have been saying in all his discourses that, you might have your ishta deivam, but you should also do all pujas and preethi's for your kula deivam which will definitely give a support to your family.
Recently from my parent's horoscope it have been found that their Kula Deivam is Bala Murugan and there is a temple in the radius of 50 kms from their ancestral village. So they just traced out their ancestral village of Mettilpatti, near Ottapidaram in Thuthukudi district and found out the Putru Murugan Temple there. We all visited that place this weekend and one of the wonder things of that place is neem tree have twined itself around the Vilva tree. It is a very unique thing about neem tree. Kula Deivam definitely have powers and especially if that Kula Deivam happens to be Grama Devathai too then the power that they bestow upon the families that worship them is something really great.
The main reason I am writing this is is there anyone who also belong to Mettil Patti or in and around that area. So that we could trace out more of our cousins and relatives.
