In 2005, a young man from Hyderabad made it to Sa re Ga MA pa challenge. 19 years age, handsome and gifted with enormous talent, he sung many popular numbers on this Zee TVs Sa Re Ga MA Pa challenge. Calm and composed, he was an ideal material to be molded into a star. He made many hearts fall for him. You might have recognized him by now.
Hemachandra was this chap's name. Here are his youtube collections.

Yeh Kya Hua
Please look at his parents whistling and clapping. How would it have felt sitting in the middle of the big fan club of their son, cheering him up. I think the parents are gifted to have such an experience, the meaning of giving birth to him frutifies. He truly makes them proud. I find watching this video more fulfilling than watching the actual video.

Nahi Samne
This video makes me melt for this voice.

Ee- Ajnabi
He feels it completely and sings

On the day of independence he sang this
Ma tujhe salam

Tanhayee
This one is good too

Enjoy the collection. I just posted the links here, to share the delight I got from listening to this voice, for those who haven't heard of him.

Thanx for sharing Meenloch....I too checked.....Really good voice.. U R right, it must have be the proudest moments for his parents.
    did he win?
by the way did u see the recent ones...I mean the one in which the pakistani boy Amanat Ali participated. I loved the song "Tujhse naraaz nahi" of Masoom. He sang it so beautifully...it was so touching. I often go to that paticular video in ishare of Rediff..Can't say how many times I must have seen it.

thanks for sharing you brought in a lot of memories along, many will not be able to sing the stuff like ha is never said as ha but aa like in kahaa and it looses its charm, so when training i was also given all these tips to sing in depth, my 15 yrs of contribution to this field made me nostalgic listening to his voice. thanku once again..sunkan

    Dear Meenloch,

I guess you are not a parent yet. Yes parents do go through these pride feelings at each and every milestone of their kids. However big or small these milestones be, the feeling of pride is the same through out. As a mother when i think back, i realise that my mom/dad may not have vocalised like i / we do now but they have in their own way shown pride in our (their kid's) modest mile stones.

From work youtube is banned but will watch the links from home.

AC and Saraswathi, U shouls watch them. It was so unlucky that I couldnt get the channels in Chennai. So I missed all the recent episodes. But cathcing up from youtube. These are young chaps. Not more than 19 or 20, but look at their Keerthi.

Sunkan, Do you teach music now ? 15 years is a looooooooomg time. This guys feels it and has Sonu Nigam's, Hariharan's charm in his voice. The best thing I liek about him is that he looks so modest and shy, yet is so talented. The parents have trained and encouraged him well. His sister was on one fo the episodes too, but she got rejecetd in first few rounds.

Blondie, True our parents never expressed. The trend then was to silently feel good. Lots of comparison used to happenw hen I was brought up, but now things are changing in a big way. Do watch when u get back.
