Sahana
Tamil director Balachander's favourite raga is Sahana. He loves it, probably because it merges well with the serial stories and is full of emotions and feelings.
The first on the list is from Rayil Sneham

The title song of serial "Sahana" also is set in the same raga. It can be found here

| | Oviya, Quick answer. Rajshri.com has it all under Tamil tab. Rayil sneham is available as two 1.5 hrs episodes there. Usha, Thanks for sharing this. Do you think there is any link between devagandhari and Sahana ? Devagandhari is seen in the famous "Ksheera Sagara" by yesudas. |

| | Sahana raagam in Carnatic Sangeetham ihas the same name in Hindusthani Sangeet and this once again confirms that BOTH these BEAUTIFUL streams have sprung and blossomed FROM THE SAME SOURCE. THEY SHOULD BE RIGHTLY REFERRED UNDER THE SAME BANNER OF BHARATHIYA SANGEETHAM. |
