Compensation - How it works ?

In the book " What color is your parachute ?", the author talks about how "Compensation" works. You are talking to someone.
1. On phone
2. Direct face to face

It seems, it is proven that your attention tends to be much more, when the conversation is on phone. This is because you are not distracted by the person's face.

Now in human race let us apply the same theory. Teenagers and youths feel that "Beauty is inversely proportional to brains". A friend of mine said that
Beauty X Brain = 0...
Although I don't believe in this completely, I feel if a man/woman is less pretty, god would have endowed them with some other skill, at which they are extraordinary. Not so good looking people tend to exceptionally talented in something which other's cannot come even close. Okay, so is the reverse true. Which means beautiful/handsome individuals are dumb ? The answer is " I don't know". This theory may prove itself stupid and baseless in many cases.

Now take autistic patients. They lack communication skills, but have a high IQ or something commendable which others cannot even imagine doing. " Rainman" ( Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman) is an awesome example.

Now let's consider Dyslexic children. The new movie "Taare Zameen Par" is the best example. It's a strong inability to read or understand letters and numbers, but look at what they possess. Out of the box thinking and creative skills of highest order. Leonardo Da vinci was Dyselxic too.

Theory of Compensation is yet another beauty of "God' creation". "All of us can build on what we have" is a note I would like to leave at the end.
