We take people or things or situations for granted.
As many times, we are also taken for granted!

Taken for granted means what is self-evident or obvious, according to dictionary.
I personally feel, we take for granted what Mother Earth and nature provide us. Do we ever pause to think what would happen if there were no sun for a day?

Friends, those of you, who are younger than thirty, may not enjoy this blog – I warn you! That is because postman is "past- man", for the younger generation.
In my younger days, the post-man was the most eagerly awaited person between 10AM to 12 noon, except on Sundays.
My grandfather used to wait for his pension cheque, in the first week.
Amma will eagerly wait for her parents' letters or one from her siblings.
Appa will wait for the cheque bringing the monthly...

A human being is, in my opinion, conditioned such, that, a touch from another one gives him or her, security, happiness, fulfilment and definitely the feeling of being wanted. All these are the essential ingredients for our emotional fulfilment.A human touch does make an unbelievably profound difference!

As soon as a baby is born, the very next minute the baby is kept on the mother’s stomach, even before, the chord is cut. I now think, the bonding as two individuals starts that moment....

In life, very often, we are not able to accept
things which are unfavourable to us
or
if any unexpected event takes place.
This is a main source of sorrow and tension in our day to day life.
Suppose we failed in an endeavour, we repeatedly tell ourselves:
I had never expected it; I worked so hard, still I failed.
If somebody close to us cheats us, we lament:
I did so much for that person, still I was cheated.

We learn only from mistakes....
