Always use a bowl of water to clean your jewellery, not the sink. If you stand the bowl in the sink, put the plug in first, and don't remove it again until you're sure you've got all the pieces you started with. It might sound obvious, but you wouldn't believe how much jewellery goes down the drain!

If you have a dirty ring or jewellery including gold, soak overnight in the soft drink 7up or Coca Cola - but 7up is the best.

The best way is to soak gold jewellery in boiling water with a little shampoo for about 10 minutes. Then scrub very gently with a soft toothbrush, rinse with cold water and leave to dry on a piece of kitchen towell or toilet paper. I have been doing this for years and my jewellery is sparkling.

    Hi Madhu,
First I also confuced like you. But I got one mail in which they listed bad effects of coke. I missed it; actually I wanted to put it here. In that they suggested this idea. and for cleaning our toilet bowls also they asked us to use coke or pepsi or 7 up. I saw this information in another web site also. :confused:If you want I can give that web address.
