I always missed the Giant Stores and Azizia Panda from Saudi Arabia. You will be lost if you go shopping in them. I wanted to get the items like Frozen Items which include French Fries, Al Kabeer Paratha in India. I found them in one shop on day. I found that it had thawed. When I enquired about it to the shop incharge, he cooly said that they were cleaning the freezers.
I droped both of them, the food and my intention to buy it.
</DIR><DIR>Then I found this Reliance Fresh. It could not match the malls there, but was far better than the ones exists in India. YWe saw almost all varities of fruits like Fuji Apples, Aust. grapes and vegetables, not to mention the freezer section. It took me to the good old days. Really on that day I felt very happy because I can get the things in India, which Krishna loves to eat. Because I could not bring those frozen food from Saudi to India.
All are available here in this shop. Even the same brand. al Kabeer plain and onion parathas, frozen patties, frozen potato masala rolls etc., etc.,
Same brand French Fries which is Krish's favorite. Have you visited Reliance Fresh? what is your comment on this?

Dear Krishnaamma,
I am a "regular" to Reliance Fresh for vegetables, fruits Groceries. There is one on Lloyds Road, very near my house.Today I saw frozen mixed vegetables, 500 gms costing 35 Rs. If my frozen peas stock is over, I regularly buy peas & frozen corn (sumeru) from there. I have never had a complaint. Infact today I bought kiwis as well. There is a new chain store Mor & another one Fresh@Mylapore, as well. Now, we have lovely fruits & vegetables for our asking.
Love,
Chithra.Posted 1st November 2007 at 10:50 AM by Chitvish

Dear Krishnamma
I enjoyed reading your description of frozen goods and the freezer. I only buy vegetables and icecream from the freezer section. The parathas is a big NONO. The fat content and saturated fats are so HIGH that even I am scared. But yes nothing to beat the veggies. Infact for me frozen spinach is way cheaper than regular qty is more and quality is good. Plus i get these veggies year round thanks to the freezer/frozen section.Posted 1st November 2007 at 12:31 PM by Anandchitra

Hi Shanthi,
Thanks for your reply. I used to visit Food World now they changed the name as Spencers. I love to visit Nilgiris also. When X mas time, waaw we can see how many varities of cakes and cho. etc., feast to our eyes.
Actually when we went to see the house in Madipakkam, which we own now, we were very happy to see Subihiksha near by our house. But, after shifting the house, we saw there is no use of that store atall.
In the ads. they are showing that much, and in this particular branch they dont have stock all the 365days. I dont know how they are running the outlet.
But any how now we are having many shops where we can get all our needs under one roof .
Really I will feel fresh when I pay a visit to shops like this.Posted 5th November 2007 at 08:27 AM by krishnaamma

Hi Chitra,
I will also get my veg. from Reliance only. We had the bad experience with frozen with 'food world' They are cleaning the freezer like what we do for our wardrope
Really me and krish shocked to see that. The shop boy is saying we will again put them inside and they will become good.
So we must be careful when we are going to choose food items from the frozen section.
Yesterday krish and krishna appa went to 'Fab Mall' to get some curd and fruits. After returning Krishna was complaining that one of the freezers was not working and even after that they are keeping food items in that.
It is happening all over in India, They should have adequate back - up electricity to maintain freezer temp. properly.Posted 5th November 2007 at 08:37 AM by krishnaamma
