அட்சய திருதியையில் என்ன செய்ய வேண்டும்?

1. ஆலமர இலையில் மிருத்யுஞ்ஜய
மந்திரத்தை ஜபித்து வியாதிஸ்தர்களின்
தலையணையின் அடியில் வைத்தால் வியாதி விரைவில் குணமாகும். குழந்தைகளின் தலையணைக்கடியில் வைத்தால் கண் திருஷ்டி கழியும.
2. இந்த நன்னாளில் நாம் செய்ய
வேண்டிய முக்கியக் கடமை பெரியோர்களை வணங்கி ஆசியைக் பெருதல் ஆகும்.
3. அன்றையதினம் மகாலட்சுமி பூஜை செய்வது நன்மை தரும்.
4. சத்ரு சாந்தி பூஜைக்கும் இந்நாள்
உகந்தது.
5. மிருத சஞ்ஜீவனி மந்திரம் தெரிந்தவர்கள், அட்சய திருதியதினத்தில் அதை நிறைய ஜபிக்கலாம். இதனால்
வியாதிகளின் வீரியம் குறையும்.
6. இந்த நாளில் குரு பகவானின் அருள் பெற்ற உலோகமான தங்கத்தை வாங்குவது சிறப்பென்று ஒரு ஐதீகம்
உண்டு. அதற்காக தங்கத்தை
வாங்குவது ஒன்றுதான் இந்த
நாளின் மகத்துவம் என்று
கூறுவது பேதமை.
7. ஏழைகளுக்கு தம்மால் முடிந்ததைக் கொடுத்து உதவுங்கள். அதனால் அவர்கள் மனம் குளிர்ந்தால், தன்னாலேயே நம் செல்வம் பெருகும்.
எனவே, நம்மால் முடிந்தவரை ஏழைகளுக்கு
கொடுத்து உதவுங்கள்.

Now a days Akshya Thritiya has become very financially beneficial only for business people/traders. They mint money on that particular day. This has become popular only past 3-4 years.
We need not give much importance to this. People when they don't have money, they borrow money and compulsorily they buy gold on that particular day making the shop much crowdy. it is sheer madness - the rush to the jewellery stores on this day for the past few years...

Krishnamma Thanks for bringing us all this info.. I did not even know of such a word till yesterday.. when my father casually asked me about it.. and then he explained and I listened with mouth open.. He said the whole of Usman road will packed with people.. traffic..
