யக்தூய குபேந்த்ராய வைஷ்ணவராயா தனதான்யதிபதி

தனதான்யதிபதி ஸ்ருதிம்மே தேஹியஸ்வா:

You have to put this colam daily in your 'Swamy Medai' . Also you have to follow one method of put this kolam. You have to start from the center. That is you have to start from 24 and then 28 then 23,22,27,20,25,26,and last 21. That is you have to fill up these holy numbers like the tamil letter ' எ ' Then you have to keep one rupee coin on each number and you can even keep white flower on them. Only white flower. Or otherwise you can keep ‘ அக்க்ஷதை ' on them.

    Hi.
This kolam has been a part of my daily pooja for the past 7 years. But i did not know that only white flowers are offered. Most of the time i put rose petals or Javanthi flowers on the coins after keeping haldhi and kumkum on the coins. Another doubt, recently in this forum i saw somewhere that the coin should be kept with no. 1 in contact with the numbers 23 24 etc. Actually I have been keeping the 1 Re. coins with no 1 facing the sky (up) on which i keep manjal and kumkum.
    Can u clarify pl?

And the sloka i have read and have been chanting so far goes thus (some small difference is seen)

    Om Yakshaaya Kuberaya Vaishravanaaya
    Dhana Dhaanyathipathaye Dhana Dhaanya Samruthimme
