Whenever we try to do something we have to plan it properly. Starting from daily cooking to arranging for a Marriage. Usually I do this. I will prepare a list. Say Deevali is a comming, for that I will start writing a list before 20 days.
Yes I will plan my function. First I will write the names of the sweets and savories as per my wish. Then I will ask my husband and son. They add or change the items. Then again I will prepare a list of ingredients of the items.
I will graind flours, keep them ready for the function. Even I used to prepare a list for the menu for the day and arrange things for that. So it will be easy for me to proceed without any tension.
Actually my father used to do like this. From him I learned this. After marriage for the first time I followed this for my Seemandam, and for the first time we celeberated the function in the Chatram.
I was the last person went out of the house, because I had the prepared list in my hand and I started ticking each and every thing which we shifted from house to chatram.
My grand father as well as my FIL appreciated me for my work. With out leaving a single spoon we brought back all the things from the chatram.
I was so happy that I got a very good name for my work for the first time itself. Till this day I am following the habit.
After comming here it is very useful to us to get gift for all our friends and relatives without fail. because I am having the list in my hand. So ladies what is your oppinion about this?

Yes Viji,
we have to plan each and every thing. When you write it in a paper it will give good effect than keeping it in mind. Sorry I am not blaming you. If you write it on a paper, anybody can follow that. If you are keeping it in your mind, you may forgot that. Moreover if you write it on a paper, and tick them, you can do any work with 100% perfect. correct aa?
As I told before, I used to prepare a list for small fucntions also. Now my son is doing like that. He will write a list of week end works in a paper and stick that on his comp. so when ever he sits before comp. he will see that and diffenitely finishes that work.
You see yesterday is Nonbu and we should not take 'curd' for the hole day. From the beginning, we are away from our elders and I used to keep the 'curd' on top shelf (பரண்) and in a paper I used to write 'dont take curd today' , and paste it on the wall which we can see easily. Krishna, my only son used to see that. And he will also avoid curd on that day. Yesterday he is asking me about this and he told to keep 'labon' ( liquid and thick buttermilk, which we used to get in Saudi) inside the fridge that too in last shelf so that I will not use it on nonbu day. so sweet of him.
Why I am saying this here is, this is because of writing on a paper's effect. Instead of keeping it in mind.
Please dont mistake me, I am not blaming you but try to tell you about writing on a paper. that is all. If I hurt you please sorry.Posted 15th March 2008 at 03:24 AM by krishnaamma

Dear Krishnaamma,
A good blog on Planning. Sometimes in this busy lifestyle we fail to plan and end up in a messy situation. Thanks a lot Krishnaamma.Posted 12th May 2008 at 05:23 AM by marrgg
