Instead of frying the pappad just apply oil or ghee on the pappad and keep it in the MW. you will get very nice fried one with in a min. Try this.


You can do this for 'kuzh vathal' and also 'Javvaasi vathal' also. In my family we do this often.


For cheese toast or for other dishes use melted or grilled cheese. Use grated cheese instead of slices; you’ll use less.


Instead of potato chips, make potato wedges, and bake...

A healthy eating plan doesn't mean dont aftaid, that you have to sacrifice your favorite foods.

All needed is a little trick; that is all.

Try some of these tips when preparing your favorite dishes to make them lower in fat and more healthful to you and your family.

Avoid seasoning or use less oil.

To sauté vegetables with less fat, use just "half of the quantity" of your regular use.

Use lower than normal...

Enakku therincha tips solluren.. Whatever I seemed to remember..

1) Drumsticks
முருங்கைகாய் - hold it own hand, and gently twist with the other hand. The good ones are young and flexible and easy to twist. Old முத்தினகாய் will be hard to twist. So avoid.

2) egg plant / brinjal
கத்தரிக்காய் - you can see the stems. If it looks green and fresh, the vegetable is fresh. If it looks dull and lifelfess, avoid it. Dont buy.

3) All the leafy vegetables...
