I am going to try my luck on blogs. Need everyone's encouragement

Nature has given to man one tongue, but two ears, that we mayhear from others twice as much as we speak.

In life there is always a good and bad. Some people are treated with great respect but some are not treated so. Those who are smart and know to carry themselves is respected by everyone and lead their life peacefully. Whereas people who are not so bold and don’t know to carry themselves feel very unsecured always.

Every one is not so talented. Each one has some good qualities in them . Some might be great in cooking but they don’t know the outside world. But this world gives importance to people who are smart. Some are good in doing outside work but at home they don’t know cooking and they don’t take interest also in that. They love enjoying themselves . But in this world people expect that a woman should know everything, the work inside the house and also outside the house.

There are so many restrictions for married, un married, widows etc. Some rituals cant be done by widows. People don’t understand how a widow must be feeling when she is not allowed to take part in some rituals. Feel sorry for them.Atleast now a days widows keep tickli on their forehead so people don’t know whether they are widow or not.

Some are so nervous that they don’t know to show their talent. Whatever they do they do it with fear and sometimes it does not turn out properly. Some are very confident and whatever they do turns out nicely and they get the appreciation from everyone. Some people know to talk nicely so they get along with everyone. Some are sweet on the face but inside they are different. All that glitters is not gold. If some people cook it turns out nicely and everyone will say her kai manam is very good, means whatever she does turns out nicely. Even when we go to some shops the shopkeeper will say if u do boni then there is good sale at the shop. Don’t know whether he is applying maska or really he means it.

To live is this world you should be smart and know to carry yourselves.

There is a saying Eat to live and not live to eat.

But eating also we should do it with pleasure , just not eat it fast.
Some like to eat peacefully tasting the food. Some are not bothered about the taste , just because they have to eat they eat.

In South Indian food we all know that there are many combinations.
Like with milagootal we have pachadi, Sambhar with avial or any other bhaji, Jeera Rasam with Paruppu Thogayal.

While eating during a marriage, 60th Birthday or any other religious function there are so many varieties of food.

If we taste and eat the food with combinations we can really enjoy.

Like first we have the payasam, if u taste rice with ghee and dhal it will be very nice. Then comes Sambhar with different vegetables, like kootu, avial, bhaji, pickle and papad. When you have rice with rasam you should have it with paruppu vada and pickle and some dry vegetable then the rasam rice tastes very good. Then while having dahi rice, first add the kitchedi with the rice then add dahi and have it with pickle and puli inzi. Last you should have pal payasam.

Have you ever had the food with these combinations. Next time when you go for a function taste like this and see how it is.

Dont think I am chapattu rami , I like to have the food like this and enjoy it.

If you have lunch properly then till night 9 pm. you wont feel hungry.

love

    Viji,
I would definitely remember this combination next time..
One need not be a saapaatu raami ...it matters whether you enjoy it or not!

    Hi Viji,
I have some comments in the way the items in the meal are consumed. First of all Food is the only thing in this earth which brings out contentment to a person and he/she says "Podum" / Enough. This is the greatest way to conquer hearts and please one's soul.
Our ancestors have made the Chapaaadu vidhi / way for a particular reason. Things are on a sequence just bcos of their reaction in our body after being consumed. Your comment about Kadamba Samayal is good and i enjoyed it. Some additions which you might have left is the combination of Appalam / upperi / Chips along with Sambar chaadam, Rasam Chaadam is a heaven. Then comes payasam which is to be had just after rasam for the fact that it initiates and controls the strength of puli / tamarind that is in Sambar and Rasam and in some cases Kuzhambu. Curd rice is always the last bcos of its nature to control the heart burn sensation / acidity that might be caused due to the spices. Also its the filling & feeling that sometimes forms the basis for one to say, "Santhosham", "Yetheshtam", "Thripthi". Similarly the concept of the placement of items over the banana leaf also has a specific meaning like the items in the upper section and lower section of the leaf. More on this shall come later. Hope you all enjoy.
    God Bless you all.
    Regards,
    Anushya.
