First I would like to tell you about the most important supplement VitaminC
Vitamin C, which is also known as ascorbic acid, helps to maintain healthy collagen in the skin, repair damaged tissue, promote healthy teeth and bones, and boost the immune system.
Vitamin C is one of the more powerful and well-known anti oxidants. Just as exposing a cut apple to air causes it to quickly turn brown, cells of the body can also suffer damage when exposed to oxygen, a process known as oxidation. Oxidation causes aging of the skin as well as all other organs and tissues of the body. It is an element that provides structural support to skin, maintains its resilience and shape and assists with wound healing.
It also helps prevent illnesses linked to Oxidation like arthritis, cataracts, heart attacks and cancer
Vitamin C, as a free-radical fighter, helps ward off wrinkles It can alleviate or lessen the common symptoms of cold. It is said to prevent cold but not cure cold by itself. It is anti inflammatory and assists in the inflammatory diseases such as arthritis, angina, bronchitis, bruises, canker sores, constipation, diabetes, eyestrain, gingivitis, glaucoma, hangover, infertility, joint pain, rashes, rosacea, shingles, sore throat, sprains, sunburn, and yeast infections, urinary tract infections, and scurvy (a disease caused by vitamin C deficiency).
For the vegetarians it is a blessing in disguise because it helps in absorbing iron from their food easily. It is necessary for the body to absorb iron and calcium. Taking daily about 300 mg of Vitamin C will help in your looking young, healthy and energetic.
It is rich in citrus fruits like Limes and lemons, oranges, sprouted pulses, straw berries, kiwi fruits, Papaya, Mangoes, all green leafy vegetables, cabbage etc
But always remember. Too much of everything is bad for health. Too much intake of Vitamin C will also get you side effects. It is always better to take vitamin C in the natural form .
The side effects are loose stools, diarrhoea, gas, and bloating which will discontinue when lowering the dose. Although the body protects itself by not absorbing high dosages of vitamin C and excretion in the urine, high dosages may contribute to kidney stone formation and could precipitate abortion in pregnant women.

| | Vidya, why should you take celin when you can have juices ? If you do not like citrus fruits then take Tomatoes which have lots of vitamins and minerals. If you like you can take celin. I have heard about that , my mother used to take it regularly. But , I don't know, I have heard that it is better ta take B Complex with that. Is it true? I'll come to Vitamin E in due course.
