Feelings

Posted 2nd November 2007 at 08:06 AM by Devika Menon
Feelings is somethings over which we have no control. It is an emotion which just oozes out of our system just like breathing , Yet unlike breathing we try to control it. Should we love, should we care, should we be compassionate,?? we try to gauge our feelings ,evaluate and then accordingly react.
Unlike children,a great lesson taught to me by my daughter, Niev, who on the absence of grandparents, showers her love for grandparents with 26 old people from old age home . For her they are her grandparents someone with whom she shares her joys, festivals, b'days .
It would be great to have a world where people are free from manipulating feelings and honestly deal with the wonderful emotions that bring positivity just like children. After all that is something going really extinct from this universe.

Dear Devika
You have written a thought provoking post. It is remarkable that your daughter has found love and appreciation at the old age home and the seniors too would have found an incredible young person who must be a model citizen. Thanks for sharing.

No. Feelings and breathing can be contolled by pranayama. If you suppress your feeling or breathing, it would explode. One should know to use that energy for better purposes. There should be a proper marriage between discrimination and feelings.
