Let us celebrate!
Posted 23rd March 2008 at 09:27 PM by Chitvish
Let us celebrate everyday that we wake up alive !
That we are hopeful of enjoying yet another day,
Though beaten in various walks of life, we are still here.
Let us celebrate the sunshine the morning brings us.
We are hearing the birds chirp joyfully.
The spring is in the air and the breeze is enjoyable.
Let us celebrate the rain that came last night.
The roads we walk on are wiped clean.
The weather is lovely that we break into music !
Let us celebrate walking through the garden.
The bud that was yesterday has bloomed into a rose.
Oh, the rain helped it break through
And the scent is very much in the air.
Let us celebrate but not remember
All humiliations we have gone through
Forgetting all unpleasantness that happened
Forgiving all those who caused them, too !
Let us celebrate that we did cry many times
The grief is no more in our mind !
The wind carries a message of hope
That we are going to feel happy today.
Let us celebrate that we are remembered
We also do remember whom we love
There is more in love than we ever thought
Love makes everyday worth living on earth!
Let us remember we are human
We are incomplete as well
But laughter breaks through tears
To celebrate our being now here !
Love,
Chithra.

| | AC, I really celebrate that you are always thereto post a prompt feedback. AC, I have reached an age & a stage in life that I must learn not to "celebrate all the unpleasantness" we encounter in our daily life, but just count the blessings. Thankyou. Love, Chithra. |

| | Shan, if only we follow....all that we write here! ![]() Though we want to, we end up doing the opposite, atleast a few times !! Having gone through life, with all ups & downs, celebrating today is the choice, I have arrived at ! Love, Chith. |

| | Dear Chith Celebrating this moment is a choice. Eventhough we wish we tend to forget it. As life moves it makes us understand the importance of now. There was a recent one week hospital stay which again strengthened this belief. Sitting there I actually thought of all the blessings. We should celebrate that we are able to move around. Only when we are denied that we understand the importance of many things which we often take them for granted. Love Vidhi |

| | Dear Mami, A Very good one indeed ! Life is full of celebrations and it depends on each person how they celebrate the same. With age & maturity we should learn to balance and enjoy life's each moment whether good or bad. Though as you said so many times we do the opposite, but there should always be a conscious effort from our end to enjoy life to the fullest & celebrate them. Who Knows whether tomorrow will come or not ! Swami Sukhabodhananda always says we postpone being happy to a future action or incident, forgetting the present. And only the present is PRESENT. |

| | Dear Chithu, Life is to live and celebrate. You have spoken of all the joys that make a difference.I do not agree that with age you will tend to think like this, there are many who are cribbing at your age. You are unique.Your perspective is the best way to look at life too.We tend to breeze past many small things that we are blessed with.Maybe is our rush to reach a destination we don't realise the joy that these can bring. I have become one to admire and accpt what we have today 'The Present'.Let's hope I remain like this as I grow older. |

| | Vidhi, you said it right !When all is well, we do not bother to say "thankyou God", but rush to him when something goes amiss ! That is why, I wrote that waking up alive, every morning is the first blessing ! Our life has become so mechanical & fast, we take more things for granted than we should actually ! Sitting in the hospital for a week must have made you go into introspection & made you count your blessings! Love, Chithra. |

| | Thankyou, Lalitha !The celebration is more in the mind than in action ! when all negativity like hurt, anger, guilt are all going on in us, we have to identify that inspite of all the negativity, something good is also taking place. We must find that good and be grateful for finding it. I would even say, seeking the good is the greatest good you will find. BEING IS MY REWARD ! Love, Chithu. |

| | Janani, if anybody says....that life has been more unfair to them particularly, I would only say that they know not what they are talking. Let us celebrate That though we were beaten, we are here. That we love and are loved. That we are human, after all. Last but not least, let us celebrate our completeness, knowing that we are incomplete ! Love, Chithu. |

| | Thanks, Devika, for joining us here !Believe me I love the way you write & as soon as you wrote The Stalker, I nominated it for the best post ! Now a days, living in a flat, if a parrot comes to my balcony, I celebrate. When the setting sun looks mauve and golden umber, I celebrate. If I am remembered by an old friend, I celebrate. If I listen to my favourite music, I celebrate. Sometimes, when I feel low & depressed, I celebrate my laughter breaking through my tears, yes! Love, Chithra. |

| | Once I again I quote what Oprah Winfrey said in this context. The more you celebrate life, the more there is to celebrate. |
