What a treat to get up in the morning and read your blog!
A very patent topic for todays time and todays youth , while I see confidence dwindling away!
Yes being candid to yourself is the best way to acknowledge the truth.
For after all you can lie to the entire world but not to yourself.
If you believe that you have the power in you then there is no stopping you in the world. Then the word impossible , doesnt exist.
You know your capabilities. You have lived in you. Your know about yourself more than anything else in the world . You are your own creator as you can be your own destroyer.
Man makes his own destiny.Its purely up to him to do so!
He knows his potentials ,He knows his limitations, he can make ,he can mar.Infact thats the greatest power.Thats why we say in Man GOD resides. Because he too has a power in him but until he recognises the power its futile!

That is another superb topic from you. I have been privy to many people who will not do soemething for they are worried about what others will say? Then when do you live life on your terms and do the things that you enjoy? For this self-confidence and a mind to face bouquets and brckbats alike is necessary. You have rightly said that we buckle at the wrong moment and mar our future, i wouold like to add that only woemn seem to buckle andgive in eas;iy more than men do, correct me if Iam wrong.At no point after you have made a decision ( what you think is the best) should you wonder about it. You cannot always do , get what you want unless your goal is clear.
This blog is sure to boost our morale and that too at the beginning of the week it's a welcome read!!!!

Monday mornings with your blog posts is a great way to start the week, I suppose :) Very nice post.
I too believe that one has to be true to oneself first...be it about one's own strengths as well as limitations. With knowledge of strengths, one must move ahead in life full of confidence. With knowledge of limitations, one must know where to exercise caution and where one need not invest time and effort :) It is all about self-honesty.

Dear, dear Aruna, I write more on life experiences, that we go through! Thats all. If I feel strongly about something, I express myself in a blog.
When we are forced, at times, by circumstances to resist telling the truth, we do feel sad & bad about it. Once we come out, we are relieved & unburdened!!

This post is closely related to your other post about growing up. Till we are children, we need other's opinion on rightness and wrongness of things we do. Once we are old enough to make life choices, the answers are found within us to all problems and all puzzles life gives us.

Quite an inspiring post dear Chithu mam. The punch lines are worth remembering.

PS - I write down nice lines whenever I read good books. I thought I was alone doing that.

From my childhood, I loved to note down my favourite quotes & would go through them whenever I felt low!!

Dear Mami,

I am being very candid in saying you have touched our hearts with this apt topic. I agree with you, most of the time we lose in thinking what others will think of us rather than what we think of ourselves. We start losing confidence in ourselves by this exercise. All thru our life we start acting on how others think then where is time to act according to our wishes.

Like the ad, where the child wants to swim and the parents say no, when he grows up and confronts his boss, he remembers his pregnant wife, when he wants to drive a costly car, he remembers his kids and finally at old age he jumps for a swim. Atlast he got the opportunity but Life always does not give us a second chance. Correct me if i am wrong.
