Do you love to dream?
Posted 18th May 2008 at 09:35 PM by Chitvish
I have always believed that the ability to dream is a gift given by God to every human being!
When we are young, we start dreaming about what profession we should undertake, what kind of spouse we would like to marry, what kind of family we would like to have, and not to forget, which countries we should go on a holiday.
A few dreams fructify though not many.
But now, psychiatrists say that our belief in our dream can make it a reality. When we dream, we feel lost in our senses and see the world very differently! It is enjoyable if we can let go and and abandon ourselves to our dreams.
We imagine ourselves to be the hero or heroine in our dreams!
We save our country and bridge the flood.
We conquer evil and build peace everywhere.
We play with light, we play with sound.
We value closeness, we appreciate friends, we enjoy “to love and to be loved”.
We forgive enemies and life is a bed of roses.
We must carry forward our dreams.
We are our dreams.
Let us claim and deliver them.
Let us dream the dream that has been within us forever.
Our belief in our dream will make it a reality.
We find ourself by living our dream.
Our dream is the infancy of our gift.
But, let us not forget the following:
“Let me dream my life
But let me not dream my life away” !
Love,
Chithra.

| | Let us Dare to Dream A Dream so rich with Life A Dream so pleasant with laughter A dream to fulfill our purpose A dream to realise our Life... Dear Chithra very nice topic.. you have written so well .. It does take some daring to dream and then hope to make it a reality.. I hope many children are raised to be taught to dream big and to make it a reality too. |

| | Dear Mami, As usual nice writing and dreaming. I agree with AC in teaching the kids to dream big and make it a reality too. My younger one Akshaya nowadays tells me that she will become a big business magnate and she will build a biggggggg house for me with designer/modular kitchen, nice bed room with a good dressing table, a big car. The house will have 15 rooms and their will be servants to do all the work and I will be like a .I am not sure whether this will become a reality but appreciate her thinking and love. |

| | I am still dreaming!Dear Chithra, That was a good one......i dont usually dream.....but in Cheeniya's thread i just told that there is no harm in dreaming ...."what if things were different in my life!" I am still processing my dreams and have not concluded if i am better off as i am now or could things have been different/ better, in my life! he he he..... But its true that Dreams to a certain extent will lead you and make one feel better! You have covered many aspects of dreaming.....but of late i seem to be whiling away my time Dreaming ...maybe my time of hibernating! As long as i dont live in my Dreams! Good post to Chew and DIgest! Will do so anyway, since i am down with viral from past 2 -3 days..... ![]() |

| | Dear Superwoman Do you love to dream???...............for this is yes I just love to dream and enter the fairyland, see all wonderful things in my dreams but bringing them to reality is a bit difficult, I don't think all our dreams will come true or can make them come to reality. Ya some dreams can be brought to reality but not all right. What about bad dreams??? As we have good dreams we do have bad ones too sometimes. And always wish those dreams will not come true in life. We get good and bad dreams some comes true and some not. But a person shouldn't stop dreaming You have brought this in a form of a poem, very beautiful wordings. |

| | Lalitha, just don't bother whether this will become a reality or not! Your daughter with great love for you, aiming for a prosperous life for you is a big gift to you from your child. Her ambition, God willing, must fructify, must be your prayer! Love, Chithra. |

| | Dear Sudha, something more to add: Dreams are our saviours They are wings which help us fly They are the lighthouse for a rudderless ship They colour our life of black and white Come, friends Let us wish those live to dream Let us pity those who live on dreams! Love, Chithra. |

| | Dear Aruna, let us not bother about bad dreams, but just dismiss them as dreams! Dreams are not lies, Revelations of our thoughts Dreams form a person’s private world He bares himself to himself only there! Love, Chithra. |

| | Mami, Thanx for your nice words. I do pray sending a thanx to HER for giving me such a loving child. Honestly she loves everybody so much and her love is so spontaneous....... that is what I like. In front of this love mami all the material things are just dust. I am blessed twice in that because of 2 precious gems SHE has given me. |

| | Lovely post here. I am a BIGGG dreamer, unfortunately a day-dreamer too. What you said about belief in dreams in extremely true. It is said that When you want something so badly, the whole universe conspires to bring it to you. What you want is what you dream so badly. What is someone without dreams. That's what keeps us alive and human. being lost in thoughts is not good, but being a visionary is good. |

| | Hi ML, everybody day-dreams too. It is so enjoyable, can't help saying. But every dreamer does not ultimately turn into a missionary! Dreams are what rainbows mean to clouds!! Love, Chithra. |

| | Chithra, My dear adharsha mangai! A gem from you.. No second opinion...it is true... I dream a lot...make it happen and feel contended at the end of the day. I love taking pains in making my dreams come true. I love the moment of success which takes off the pains. Sorry, talking more about me. Your blog made me look back. I again trvellled through the moments of success. Thank you. I'm neither a guinness record holder nor a one who sleeps on zillions. But, I'm the one who makes my dreams come true....the everyday dreams which makes me happy, which gives me confident and which makes me more loving to people as I've nothing to worry about me. It doesn't holds true with everybody. People get carried away with the hardships of life and just forget their old dreams and the very power to dream. So sad, to see the talents getting wasted. If not they go the other way round as you said not to, 'dream their life away'... Dream...dream...let us go dreaming. |

| | Dear Madam A very nice blog on a subject i like very much. I like dreams. I get strange and wonderful dreams everyday. Lilke free cinema. or like living another life. Some people say their dreams become real. So far, nothing like that for me ! And Panchangam also tells 'palans' for dreams. I am afraid to see even. Why unnecessary tension ? Better to only dream and enjoy ! |

| | An excellent and very confident reply, Oviya! I love the way you say that you work for your dreams to come true! Wat to go, my picturesque friend! You need not be Guinness recorder - if you feel happy with the way, you have made your dreams come true, you cannot ask for anything more! Love, Chithra. |
Posted 19th May 2008 at 12:32 PM by Chitvish |
| | Dear Swarnalata, I love your arguement on why bother about what dreams signify etc.So long as you have the power to dream, go ahead & enjoy! Love, Chithra. |

| | Dear Chitra Maam, totally identified myself with your blog....am an incorrigible dreamer, and not just while sleeping....(in fact, during sleep i mostly get night mares...) my best dreams are those which i conjure up at my whim and fancy :)....if something i wish doesnt happen, i just make it happen in my dreams and savour the happiness in my mind.... |

| | Dear Sowparnika, when I posted this blog....I was anxious if yoou would all think of me as a "sleepy", "eternally dreaming" person! I now feel happy that I have good company; not one, but everybody is a dreamer! Love, Chithra. |

| | Dear Chitra Mam, The topic Dreams s very exciting one........ I enoyed reading ur description and also all the comments given by fellow ILites. I do get dreams but majority of them r weird or bad ones.I donno how to dream positively. As u said dreams are revelations of our own thoughts. So does getting bad dreams indicate negative thinking going on in ones mind??????? I wanna get rid of the bad dreams and have a wonderful and lovely dreams but how???????? |
Posted 20th May 2008 at 03:23 AM by cheers_sunray |
| | Dear Cheers sunray, this is just my two cents! Either you have very low self-esteem or ave a disturbed mind. Please do not mistake me for saying this. One cannot & should not get weird dreams always. Before sleeping at least, , think of something pleasant, about nature, about good things in life etc. You will sleep more peacefully with less bad dreams. Love, Chithra. |

| | Dear Chitra Mam, Thanks for ur reply. I do accept that I have a disturbed mind. I usually listen to nice music before sleeping.I dont dream immediately but while getting up I feel M haunted by some weird dream,it follows for some hours.........I mean to say while am awake also I think of the dream......... Is it any abnormality or normalcy????? |
