I think I have taken this joyride with you for the past one year and have learnt so muchfrom you right from cooking,kolams to spirituality but one thing I have sure learnt and cherished is how you handle distress with so much grace. It really takes a large heart and you sure have it Chitra. You have comforted me when I needed you the most and have also shared fun-filled jokes. Chitra my one and only prayers is to meet you very soon when I make a trip to Chennai. Thankyou for your birthday wishes, so beautifully written, as only you can do.

With you wishing me on behalf of I Lites last March 19 th, my xx th year started well, ofcourse, going backwards in (only my) age. Please wait at 28, my dear friend, I will meet you at (your)28 soon.

Last year was good-going for me, with an occasional hiccup, which is inevitable in life. I do hope this year will be hiccup-free, God willing.

You are right, I L which was getting built slowly but steadily, saw a meteoric rise after The Hindu writeup. I am as much proud as you are, in being a contributor to this beautiful site for the benefit of global members. God has been very kind to me that whatever I collected over the years as recipes, shlokas, pujas etc, are now channelised in a way, very enjoyable to me & I hope, equally enjoyable to my co I L ites here.

If at all I am here, basking in the love of my young friends, I owe it to the sideward glance of our Goddess Angayakanni. I fully believe only in Her blessings to help me through in life till my last day.

Sridhar, by saying " from 25 to 85", do you expect the I L ites to calculate the average & guess my age ? You are wrong, my friend, they love me too much & will not do that unpleasant job. They accept me as I am & know that I am as young or as old, as I interact with them.

You write as if I may go up to Dashavathar... ? No way !! Please rest assured, I am only too well aware of my limitations and will never over estimate myself.
Being happy for me, is liking myself the way I am here right now, surrounded by plenty of love.

Knowing that my best can only come from me, I accept myself just as I am !

One more year has passed and we have come again to the most important day for ILites - yes, March 19th is Chithra's birthday.

It is very difficult to gauge who grew fast, Chithra or IL during the past one year. IL grew from a few hundred members to few thousand members, from a simple double-bedroom house to a large residential complex having many rooms and many facilities, from a less known website to a site acknowledged by the likes of The Hindu, Sify.com and Deccan Herald.

The cookery buff, the computer geek, the moderator of religious and spiritual posts - you have many Avatars and have excelled in every one of them. Let us expect something more to come this year.

Chitra, let me have the special privilege and the unique honour of leading the community of about 4000 plus ILites in wishing you a very happy birthday.

May the Queen of Madurai, Meenakshi, the Goddess who can bless billions of universes, with a sideward glance with her beautiful eyes, bless you and yours with health, long life, peace and prosperity. May you be filled with more and more love with which you may bless all the ILites.

When I signed off the birthday thread last year I had written,

"Chitra, wherever you are and whatever you do, just remember this - the good wishes of the 1000-plus ILites are always with you. May you ever be blessed."

While the sentiments have remained the same the numbers have changed during the last year. Now it is 4800 (at 0820 hours IST on 18/3/2007) which only means that you will be blessed more than four times over this year compared to 2006.

Well, last time I just told you all that her birthday is on 19th March. I did not tell you the age. Let me tell you that this time, very openly. Chithra is xx years old as on 19th March. Now you can substitute the appropriate value depending on which post of hers you are reading for the time being. The value of xx ranges from 15 to 85, as ILites would love to confirm.
