Happy Birthday! Many Happy returns of the Day! May the years to come be charmed and blessed for you and yours.

Over the past year, knowing you through your words has been an educative and enriching experience. We all started knowing about you from your open letter to Srikkanth, your son. A letter that showed us the responsible parent in you who gives her son the freedom to choose his path. And it is this aspect that endears you to ILites. In your relationship with us, you are mild and mellow. Never soliciting feedback for your work, you give us the freedom to enjoy your writings and respond silently or in writing.

As days passed, we learnt more about you from your poems where you even dealt with terrorism in a subtle, soft way. While all can rhyme, it takes a Malathijagan to write a poem of substance and significance. And you lisped your way to our hearts. Be it in talking of your life experiences, in offering strong and determined feed back in forums, in talking in whispers about spirituality and meditation- you are one ILite who shows substance and strength in her words.

May the years to come tell us more about you. May the years to come and forever be full of joy and peace. Happy Birthday!
