I am very happy to share the good news that Gowri has given birth to a baby-girl...I received a call from her this morning..
Both mother and the daughter are doing fine..

Congratulations to Gowri and her DH on the arrival of their baby girl!
As I am in the DC area for the last two days, I was waiting for the good news so that it might be possible to visit Gowri and her newborn. Amidst the two days of hectic schedule with meeting a relative and a friend and the sightseeing tours, I was anxiously waiting for her call. While I was in the tourbus in the late evening, I got her call. Drowned in the announcer's loud voice and drenched in the sudden torrential rains this evening, I could not hear what she was saying, but I guessed that the baby might have arrived. Later amidst a brief stop in front of one of the attractions, I called her back and she informed me of the good news. As we are staying in a hotel in Maryland, we had to catch our train to return. I felt bad that in spite of being so close, could not meet Gowri and the baby.
Congratulations on the arrival of an Angel ! May God bless you both with Good Health and all the Happiness in the World. Take lots of care and give our hugs &kisses to the Cutie pie .
