Arrow Chhattisgarh - Land of Surprises

Hello Everybody, This is Naina from Chhattisgarh. I just landed up in this wonderful forum and found no information on Chhattisgarh. We have been settled in Chhattisgarh for quite sometime and find the place amazing and full of History and there are so many places to see and visit that you'll take long to get over with the surprises. Here's a location guide of the places to visit.

Chhattisgarh was carved out and formed into a state in 2000 from Madhya Pradesh. From historical sites to ancient caves, from wildlife to nature's beauty, Chhattisgarh is a strong representative of 'incredible India' personified. Have you visited Chhattisgarh? Share your story.

Hi Naina, Good to see someone from Chhattisgarh in the forum. The place indeed sounds to be interesting from your post. Please share more information about the different places, the people and culture. I heard there are a lot of ancient caves in Chhattisgarh. Is it true?

Happy posting!
Sonia

Arrow Re: Chhattisgarh - Land of Surprises

Chhattisgarh is the greenest state of India and proudly boasts of a forest which is the densest in the world after the Amazon and has been identified by the UN as the bio-diverse hot spot. Adventure loving and nature loving tourists discover paradise here with wonderful wildlife and lush greenery all around. If you visit after the monsoon, the green leaves seems to be even greener and the wide waterfalls seem to gush even stronger.

Undoubtedly, this is the right time to embark for dense and thick jungles of Chhattisgarh.
  • Indravati National Park famous for its lush green forests,
  • Udanti Sanctuary famous for its wild buffaloes,
  • Achanakmar Sancturay housing tiger, leopard, cheetal and
  • Sitanadi Sanctuary covered with Sal are some of the destinations which you should not miss while you are in Chhattisgarh.
You can stay in the jungle resorts inside the national parks and believe us, no one wants to miss this opportunity to be lost in the nature.

Anyone here, who has visited Chattisgarh wildlife sanctuaries?
