Which storage boxes & containers are good for preserving the Hot food for lunch & cold food for refrigerator both. I have tupperware but, I came to know that plastics are not safe for health.

    My question is :

    1. Which containers steel, plastic are safe for storages?

    2. Which is safe for refrigerators?

    3. Which is good for hot lunch boxes? Steel or plastic? or else you want to suggest any good material ?

    Pl. reply...

For kitchen storage i prefer steel one... no smell no stains we can clean themwhenever we want. Plastic or tupperare can be used but they get stains easily and sometimes retsin the smell of items stored in that.. tis smell never goes. For fridge i use as required manytimes glass and tupperware are good for fridge.

see this link below: Melamine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Which says....Melamine is described as being "Harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Chronic exposure may cause cancer or reproductive damage. Eye, skin and respiratory irritant."

Please don't take food in melamine wares and if you anyone using this product please tell them about this.

    Thanks

Yes I agree with Mandir. Please try to get rid as much as plastic from your kitchen. In refrigerators say strict NO to plastic. We all know plastic omits a poisonous gas when it is hot. Most of don't know the plastic does the same thing when it is cooled too much. So avoid plastic bags and boxes in fridge. Use Cloth bags and steel or glass containers.

Storage containers - Steel is best to handle/ clean.
Lunch Box - Steel is the best option. If you want elegant looking go for glass not plastic. Hard to handle but
    Good for health.

Fridge Storage - As i already said use cotton cloth bags for veggies and glass/ steel containers for others.
Cotton bags are cheap you can make it by order from your tailors if you give them the cloth.
