What is current trend in Rents in Bangalore??

Hello Kannadiga ILites,
We have a flat near Kempfort, just behind ISRO, hardly 0.5 KM. The current tenant is vacating the house by Nov1st. So, just want to know what is the current prevailing rent in that area. Do we need to decrease/increase it, such that we can communicate the same to rental broker.
Its a 2 BHk with car parking,woodwork,24/7 water,powerbackup,security.
Very much near to MG Road,Kempfort etc.

I guess the area you have written is quite popular and always there is a demand for houses there. Atleast i can tell u that there is no need to decrease. Regarding increase you need to see the immediate demand and supply and decide.

Its a good idea to find in the apartment complex itself what is the current rate now. In my experience , security/ gatekeeper have this info uptodate and first hand

I live in Jeevan Bima Nagar which is somewhat on the opposite side of the Airport Road. Here the rents are between 8000-10000. It depends on what other facilities are available. But I think that it may not be possible to increase the rent at this junture because all are quoting recession as a factor though it does not seem to have affected India much.
