This is Vidhya from Hebbal Bangalore. I am a Work @ Home Mom for 5.7 years old Adhithi & 7 months old Ashwin with roots from Chennai.

I heard that the most famous and very loved Vidhyarthi Bhavan in Gandhi Bazar has been closed and the building is broken down. Why did they do that ? Anybody has any info on that ? I feel bad and like part of the history is wiped out.

I didn't see the demolition part as yet. But the other day while passing through that place, I saw a board indicating Renovation. I hope they are not breaking it as such.

This reminds me .... There used to be another historical place famous for set dosas called 'Dwaraka' on Bull temple road. That building was sold out and now they have moved to NR Colony and going strong there with the same taste and a bigger place.

Well let me find out what's up with Vidyarthi bhavan!

Dwaraka is near the NR Colony market! Hmm...what landmarks do I give you??? There's one Cake Shop ... its very nearer to that. This is not near the vegetable market of NR Colony...but on the main road that would connect you to the bull temple road.
Vidyarthi bhavan is intact, as usual jampacked. No demolition is happening.
