Hi:

I was in Bangalore for 3 years before we came to the UK. I love Bangalore inspite of all it's problems.

I loved going to the Anjaneya temple in Ragiguda. There were few things I made a point not to miss in Bangalore - the Lalbagh flower and horticultural show, Vastrabharana - an exhibition that was held during October in Chitrakala Parishat and Hanuma Jayanthi in December at the Ragiguda temple.

I would have liked to see what Bengaluru Habba and Vasanta Habba are all about. Never got a chance. Hopefully sometime in the future.

So far, I have visited Bangalore twice and it is ever changing. We used to go to Koramangala or Jayanagar for all our shopping and now there is a mall in Bannerghata Road - right next door! Wish the basic infrastructure changed as fast!

Nice to know that there are so many ILites from Bangalore.

Hi all,

I am new to this Club and enjoying it by sharing views and giving info.

Iam basically a Tamilian but born and brought up in Bangalore that too in Basavangudi area. Done my B.Com from NMKRV College. I have two daughters aged 7 and 12 yrs. I really admire people like Sudha as Iam too proud to be a girl and have been brought up my parents like that though my in laws do not share the same views. I have faced hardships when my daughter was born though not physical torture but still my daughter was not welcome. But now the situation has changed. I only hope girls get the same state as of men.

Recently, after a gap of almost 12 years I have joined a job so that I can be economically independant and to be very frank it has taken 12 years of hardwork, love and patience for making my husband listen to me though he is a very nice and loving man but tied to mummy's apron strings. Atleast I want to bring my kids as a brave and confident individual so that they can face society and carve a niche for themselves.

Regards
Lalitha

hi , I am usha from texas. I was born and raised in bangalore .
i got married in 77 and moved to the us . even though i have been here for 30 years, at heart i am bangalorean and kannadiga. i love the language and proud to be a kannadiga.
i am a retired physician and my business card proclaims that
i am a doctor by profession and an artist by passion. i am a philosopher at large and a rebel with many causes!
i am an avid photographer, staunch animal lover and brutally honest. not bothered by what people think of me becoz it will compromise one's value systems. love to read and think and think. live on water where i get to watch many kinds of birds doing their things. my son got me hooked on pets and that has been the most enriching experience of my life. everyone should have a pet in their lives at least once. makes you kinder and gentler and very very compassionate to all the living creatures.
just celebrated 30 years wedding anniversary. married to a wonderful human being. one son who taught me patience and the awesome responsibility to make another human being caring and loving
travel is another passion. i wish i was marco polo. have been to six continents including antarctica:god's place.
not big on socializing becoz i am not good at small talk. but have made lasting friendships from school and college that keep me connected.
not religious. of the many paths to god i prefer dharmic and karmic paths than devotional.
will continue the ramble another time

Hi Friends

I am Manjula Prasanna from Bangalore. I joined this group just now. I am basically born and brought up in Bangalore. I am married and I have a son. I love this place so much. I love everything here, people, weather, places, shopping except for the traffic. But I am beginning to love that also now. And regarding my hobbies, I love painting, hand embroidery, listening to music and of course surfing the net (which has started off late)

I have gone through some of the topics discussed here and all of them seemed very nice. I hope I will be benefitted by all your views and I hope to share my interests and views with u all.

Cheers
Manju
