| My Dad grows nostalgic when he tells me about how he and his friends, in 70s Bangalore, used to get doses, chutneys, sambar from the below listed hotels and compare things. The final award was given to Vijay vihar for chutney, BTR for sambar, VB for dose etc etc! Anyway, the best Masala dosa hot spots in Bangalore are: (not in the order of preference) 1. Vidyarthi Bhavan, Gandhi Bazaar 2. Brahmins tiffen room Shankarpuram 3. Ganesh Darshan Jayanagar 4th block 4. Janatha Hotel malleswaram 5. Vijaya Vihar in Basavngudi ( not sure if it still exists) oooooohh, how I miss Bangalore!!

| your welcome Anupama Tell them in advance that you don't want kempu chutney(red chutney) I'm sure none of these places have sweet tasting sambar. And of course the thickness of Dose depends on which dose you order. Go for paper masale dose Good Luck!

| VB's masala dosas are great but it is not thin. The masala dosas in Bangalore are always thick and not thin. That is the speciality. But I know a place where we get thin MD.... too yummy & home made........ it is my home prepared by myself. ha ha ha
