I am trying kannada fonts here...Let me see if this shows up OK?

Hello Nkumar,

It is indeed kannada font...but not sure if its due to the tool or some mistake, but its not showing up with proper grammar.
Ondondu aksharanoo break aagta ide. kan nadi ga instead of kannadiga.
Maybe you need to experiment more on your system before posting here...???

Neevu heLtirOdu nanage gottu....

It is because your browser is not set for unicode
There are 2 methods:
1. Open your Internet Explorer/ Firefox> View> Encoding> More>select Unicode(UTF8 ) from the list and then refresh the page...

2. If you have admins rights on your computer, then go to Settings> Control panel> Regional and language options> Languages>Check both options in Supplemental languages support. it may ask for windows CD.Use the CD..Then restart the machine ...Then you can view all the kannada webpages and blogs and posts like mine...

I will post a detailed post on the settings for all kannada sahodaryaraigaagi!

1.Modalu install free baraha IME from baraha.com..

2. then set the browser to unicode as above
3. Install regional language as above...

Rest is kid's play!

Dear N Kumar,

ಕನ್ನಡ ....should it be like this? Ottu akshara barodilva? Neevu heLida steps ella Madideeni...but I'm disappointed to see kannada like kan-nada. Hope you get what I'm trying to say!!! I love the kannada script and feel bad when I see it broken like this. What more to do to see it in the appropriate fashion?

If you want to check, go to any of these kannada sites and see if you are able to read properly..If yes, then this site hasa aproblem otherwise your settings are still not OK

How to view kannada fonts on webpages and blogs

Dear snehiteyare,

Please follow the following procedure for viewing kannada fonts:

1. Set Regional language option on win XP: may need windows CD and administrator log-in :

Settings> Control Panel> Regional and language settings and check both the boxes under Languages> supplemental language support...May need Windows CD and admin login rights...Check!



Restart the computer and view the web/blog




2. Then enable kannada on your browser : IE or firefox this way:
Go to View> encoding> More> select > unicode( UTF 8 )

Follow this sketch: Enjoy reading kannada....More later!!
