bangalore schools

hi,

i need a small information about cbse schools in bangalore.

1. From which class they start teaching hindi?
2. can the student opt for any language other than hindi or is it compulsory?
3. what is the language option given in 3rd and 6th std ?

i need this info urgently. if anyone knows please do reply me.

Thank you for your reply. YEs. i went through the threads about bangalore schools. but i feel that issue is different from mine. right now i am staying abroad. here the schools are giving option to choose either hindi or french. my son wants to take french but i am afraid if he chose french, when we settle down in bangalore hindi should not be a compulsory language for him.. my main concern is is it hindi necessary for bangalore schools for 4th standard?

Hi lahani,

I thought somebody from bangalore will help you in this. we have r2i from muscat to chennai. my daughter had taken french. and now she has third language hindi. I think it depends on the school. if the options are hindi or french. your son can take french as second and hindi as 3rd. in chennai my son does not have a third language in 4th.

I am not sure if i have been of help.

Thank you for your reply. here in kuwait there is no third language . the option is to choose between hindi or french.

I was talking about after r2bangalore. In bangalore you can opt for french as 2nd and take hindi as 3rd language. In muscat my daughter had to take compulsory arabic as 3rd language from 5th. She had taken french as second instead of hindi. and coming back to chennai she has second language french and third language hindi. my son is in 4th he does not have third language. as per cbse third language is from 5th i think.not sure.
