lekh and lav are not bad. If you consider Likith please think about it being a nice name for indians but might be misunderstood by english speaking people.. (just mentioning just in case you stay in US or your son will so later), if not so its good name too

no ... not at all.... just ones heard some jokes like lick it..... like some made fun of names with deep in it... (my own husband couldnt pronounce the name and it would sound a bit like lickit...so im just saying be carefull..it sounds pritty when an indian pronounces but maybe not sooo much if an american or other foreigner)

Actually names are generally chosen not just based on rashi and liking but also depending on the place where we reside, like you mentioned.

I was to be named from letter 'J'. My mother tells me she loved the marathi name 'jaai' which is a flower name.
But they could not go ahead with it since we lived in Gujrat at the time, and gujjus can't pronounce the marathi 'J' so they would end up calling me by the boy name 'Jay'!
