I am going to have a baby girl soon. can you please share some simple modern names with me? we are not particular about any letter. i noticed the name 'nithila' in one of the blogs here. i liked it. can anybody tell me what is the meaning of this name and it is from which language? I am from Andhra.

Nithila is pearl - in tamil Nithilam actually , I dont know if it also there in other languages.

Vanathi is correct. 'Nithilam' means 'Pearl' in Tamil.So we named our Son as "Nithilan" meaning "Person like Pearl".Nithila is a nice name.
