my munchkin does well with the following.

    coriander curd rice

in a pressure pan take 1/2 tsp ghee, temper jeera

    add 2 tbsp washed rice

    water

    overcook,

mash the rice very well, add 1/2 cup curd and few coriander leaves. run once in blender .

this one does have some texture,so the amount of time u run it in blender would depend on how much texture ur baby handles

    Broken wheat porridge

    2 tbsp fine dalia(wheat rava/cracked wheat/bulgar wheat/lapsi)

    3 chopped dates

    1 cup water

    pressure cook for 7-8 whistles...

add 1/4 cup milk... bring to boil

    blend in blender

    Apple cinnamon porridge
    1/2 apple cut
    white oats/rolled oats 2 tbsp
    1/2 cup water
    1/2 cup milk
    pinch cinnamon

if using white oats, soak in little water for 30 mins, cuts down cooking time

add oats, water and milk... cook for 5 mins.
add cut apple and cinnamon, simmer for another 5 mins
liquify in blender ,or mash it very well with spoon

    Peach yogurt

    1/2 cooked mashed peach
couple of drops of jaggery syrup
    1 cup dahi

    blend it/mix it together...serve

    veggie soup with easum
    ghee
    jeera
mixed cut veggies(zucchini, bottle gourd,carrot,peas..or whatever ur baby likes to take)
in pressure pan, add 1/2 tsp ghee
    temper few jeera seeds....
add all veggies, stir in for few seconds
add enough water and pressure cook ,5-6 whistles
    run it though blender
serve with mashed rice or easum/nestum

sweet potato, carrot with cheese(taken this from babycenter)

cook peeled diced sweet potato and carrot together until tender...
    blend it/mash it...
grate a little cheese(cheddar is what i use). stir and serve

    Poonam

Nice receipes and a good thread !

    Mine likes the following -

    1. Ragi Banana/ Ragi Plum porridge
Make a porridge out of sprouted ragi powder by boiled it in water.
Add blended plum or mashed banana to this.
    Serve

    2. Rice Moong + Squash
I have a powder made of brown rice and moong dal. Make a porridge out if this. Blend cooked sqash to this and add.
Note - I use any veggie in place of squash. It can be carrot, beetroot, beans, peans and a combination of these.

    3. Oats Apple porridge - I follow poonam's recipe here.

Pooh - Have you started giving ghee and cheese? I was waiting for 8 mo.

ramya Z takes 2 heaped tbsp curd everyday.after lunch.she LOVES it.

yes just started giving cheese n she is doing good....i have done my homework as regards to curd n cheese n they say its fine to give post 7 months.

ghee i use 1/2 tsp for tadka for a batch of veggie soup...i freeze soup for 3-4 days, so thats hardly any ghee, but it does give a nice jeera aroma to the soup :)

headspin, i HAD to find good recipes for her. she started hating cerelac.so i had to find recipes for satisfying her little tummy...earlier i would give her cerelac for dinner and cook for lunch. now hv to cook both meals...but i freeze dinner in batches...since i m pressed for time
