Hi all I have a 6 months old gal baby. She had her annaprasana recently. I m now confused what kind of solid food i shud give her and how much and what time i should give. Also need to know how much milk i should give other than mothers milk. Please let me know out of your experience and knowledge. Thanks mary
Hi Mary Congrats on the little one. I have a baby boy who just completed his 7 months too. I would suggest you to introduce solids slowly and gradually. There is no hurry to give solids to the baby try and keep the baby as much on breast feed as possible along with it you can give your baby formula milk stage 2. The best food for your baby this month would be 1. Breast Feed 2. Formula milk 3. Cerelac - Stage 1 4. very light lentil soup. (you can add little salt to it) 5. Fruit yoghurt 6. The upper Layer of chapatti with milk. you need to make a nice paste out of it with your hands. 7. Mashed Banana Try and not mix everything on the same day. Keep it simple and introduce everything slowly. Best of luck dear. Butter Ball
Thanks a lot butterball, I m givinger her packet milk and then giving some carrot, apple and potato, idli ( everyday little for lunch only) We are planning to give her only natural food other than the packed ones. I wud surely try the chappati..
Great!:thumbsup As they say when GOD makes you a mother and then you know it all for your little one!. You are doing pretty well. please do let me know how are you giving carrots? I mean in which form. I wish to introduce carrots in my plan as well.:cheers
butter ball i boil the carrot, and then cut in pieces and put in the blinder and add little wat to it so that it wud become little liquid type. do not add any salt or sugar to it. first i used to add salt she had little only, yday i tried without salt i think she liked it and had almost... try that nd let me know today as u told me i wud try the curd for her... hope she doesnt get cold. take care
Hi once again, She wont get cold . Give it to her on room temperature mash the sweet fruits add it to the milk while making curds. This will give her the needed protien to grow taller! Tc dear and thanks once again.
