Default nuts and seeds powdered

Hi,

From what age we can give almonds, walnuts and other dry fruits atleast in powder form to baby? How to make dry fruit powders - direcly grind or heat for some time on a pan and then make powder?

Also, from what age we can give them Sesame seeds, ground nuts either as seeds or in powder form.

Sri

the recommendation is to wait until the baby is 1 year old. for my son i started using powdered nuts (not in combo; always check one by one to rule out any allergic reaction) in his porridge.

i dry roast the nuts (in a pan or in microwave) and powder in mixie. do this in small quantities for fresh taste. sesame seeds i'm not very sure. we get small breads here with sesame seeds sprinkled on top that he had from about 1.5 years of age.

sri, i agree with Latha - due to allergy concerns it is best to wait till one year to give nuts. I actually waited until about 2 years to give nuts to my DS. I think you can do sesame seeds - its hould be just like mustard/jeera/other Indian seasoning stuff.
