Default Finger foods

Hi,

My son is 11 months old and seems like he is toothing. He is not eating any purees. he is intrested in biscuits and some cut fruits since they are lil bit hard.
I try to feed him all purees, rasam rice, scrambled egg, ragi porridge, muffins etc.
Its been almost 10 days he stopped to have any soft food.

I dont want to feed him always with these biscuits. Can any one please suggest some dishes for my baby?

Thanks in advance.

Because he is teething, may be he has the urge to chew something, that's why he is prefering hard foods. Be careful when giving hard foods because kids can choke up. Get some teethers from walmart or any store and let him chew as much as he wants. As for the hard foods, you can try carrots, or small chapathis, so he can tear with his new teeth.

Try giving steamed vegetables, idli, dosa or soft paratas in small pieces.

Why not table food, just cook it a bit softer for your child and milder spiced. DS took to table food around the time he started teething. He would chew endlessly on all our veggies. Carrot sticks, cucumber (raw). He never once choked on any of it and would always spit out the bits he could not handle. We found rotis and breads were more soothing of DS's swollen gum. Alternatively, you could use teething gel 30 min before you feed solids and then give him teethers to gnaw on.
